If I build a time machine... which of you would like to go back to the 80s with me? Seeing the LPs and the cassettes...and this song...fills my heart with great nostalgia...we were happy in the 80s...and we didn't know it!
I was born in the 2000s. Recently I bought my first car made in 1989 and I like to listen to this music of its era while I drive it. Makes me wonder how much my car would have to tell if it could speak! Where did it drive to? Who drove it there? How many babies were made in your back seat? Needless to say after I pressure wash those seats, I'm keeping it forever
Geez and I bet those 12 D cells would not have lasted long with the volume cranked up especially if they were just the old school Zinc carbon or what ever they were. Alkaline would have been better but lots more money to buy. My piddly little 4 C cell boom box was heavy on batteries so i just used it on the mains.
Summer 1983 - I was 20 and it was my first holiday without my parents. Lad's holiday to Benidorm with my two best mates. This tune was blasting out of all the bars and clubs. Fond memories.

Man it was such a privilege to be alive and in the prime of my life during the 8o's! So many fond memories. And the music of that era was mesmerizing and is still unmatched even to this day!

I’m 51 and have two mint BMX bikes from the 80’s just like these. They are carpet queens and haven’t seen the pavement for decades. All of a sudden, just for a brief moment, I’m 14 again 😎

So now that I can as an old(er) man, I've got a massive collection of 100 pairs that I just look at but never wear. I'm sure it's because it was an itch I couldn't scratch as a 13/14 year old in the early 80's. So I'm wondering if it was the same for you with BMX bikes?
I had 2 BMX's, one was the 2nd most expensive bike in the shop at the time - £111. 😂😂😂 The second I built up from F&F set and cost £300, a lot of money for a bike in 84. I still have my bikes, still unridden.

I was on a school trip to London in 1983. We stayed with local families. I still remember when one of the hosts (cool black dude) walked down the street with his ghetto blaster playing IOU. I had never heard anything like it. That song was/is just A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

I could never get enough of this song back in 1984. The year breakdancing was big in Australia and all we did at high school was dance & listen to the tunes like this one. Was 80's the best? Well I say so however anyone will say a decade was the best when they were young. Its the care free years. The years Mum & Dad looked after us in every way. A teen in the 50's will say the same. A teen in the 60's will say the same. My kids today say 2000's were the best decade. For me those decades were 70's - 90's. The music, movies, fashion etc. Also because I was young. It will be a never ending argument as to which decade was the best however I will say that anything pre internet & smart phone was the truly best decades. Kids today will never understand what life was like without those 2 items.
