@@F.O.O I think that is as diverse as Ireland could do! They are a refreshing breath of straightforward competitive air. No "airs and graces" and psychobabble. They brought a can-do attitude from Rio, and did in Tokyo. Very fair play to them. As a Brit, they showed the the Irish Women's 4- and the British how it can be done. Beautifully simple, with a lot of honed graft.
What a breath of fresh air these guys are , We know a lot of blood sweat and tears went into this effort,,and they made it sound very easy, but we know it was one hell of an effort .you not just put Skiberine on the map,but Ireland as well,
Well done luck of the Irish ☘️ such wonderful sports men so nice 👍 We just love Ireland 🇮🇪 we are so proud of you and happy when we visit Ireland love you 😽.Xxxxxxxx.With love ❤️.
Brilliant result really deserved, the amount of training for this is super human, people have no idea how hard these guys have worked , and representing Ireland to the world unreal, we’ll done Guys brilliant fair play
Congratulations from Canada to two humble Irish Gold Medalists World Champions. Wonderful to hear them being interviewed. Party in Ireland everyone. Cheers
I love how Paul takes the gold medal in stride. He’s happy to have won but as he says you pretty much go on with your life. It’s just a moment in time. Well done guys!
I was pretty sure that Rachael Blackmore had the Sports Personality of the year sown up - Now, not so sure. Well done guys - fantastic lift for entire nation.
These lads should win it or what would be a better idea would be to have a make award and female award each year so there are no accusations of sexism and appropriately award both male a female sports people.
The Irish boys finally got their gold 👏👏💪💪 although Gary wasn't part of the team to win it this time. I think it's still inspiring how the goal to win gold stayed consistent for 5 years after their successful Rio stint. Big fan of Paul, such a motivated and driven lad. An inspiration!
you do hear from the likes of Tyson Fury that there can be a real low for some athletes after achieving your goal, an anticlimax of sorts, got a bit of a sense of that from Paul there talking about how he felt winning the gold, wishing them well! 💚 country's proud of ye both

I'm from the US, and I'm just as proud of these lads as everyone else is. They deserved their standing ovation in Olympic village!!
Two lovely lads, so humble. Congratulations and thank you
Paul is a brilliant example of how to praise all around you, and stay humble. Well done lads, great achievement.
Ireland is arguably the most laid back culture on Earth and West Cork is the most laid back part of Ireland.
I dunno. Donegal’s fairly laidback too to be fair 🤣
I'd dispute it for Mayo, but I can't be bothered, and thereby prove it.
@Paul C laidback Paul cause we’re all usually steaming
@Paul C ......elsewhere you complain they were " just rowing a boat ". .....you're awash in insights Paul
I am from drimoleauge, or more general, i live around bantry, and i can verify this is true
