Keep up the journey on the weight loss. You’re killing it! I couldn’t agree more on Enve. I have the M730s and they have changed the riding experience for me. I did the custom decals on their website and I’m glad to know Stikrd is the printer for them. Top quality! Enjoying the channel!
Glad to see you put up some new content! I broke my collarbone on culvert 4 weeks ago so I can't ride for a while... now I can't wait to get back out there after watching you ride the local trails around here....
As a big rider im glad there is someone reviewing some nice wheels. I worry about breaking expensive items like wheels when my riding weight is around 260 and most wheels seem to top out at 250
Awesome video brotha! I was on the fence about kush core but at 235lbs I will definitely be running it now. And once I inevitably taco my rims I will be upgrading to carbon. Thanx for the info man!
Fantastic video! Very well put together. Thanks for your input. At this point, I have no need for any of those products, but now I have your review for future reference if/when the time comes I need this things.
Holy cow, I have been busy and missed a few of your last vids and I almost didn't recognize you! keep on pushing and appreciate the content. As a larger rider myself I agree with you on the noticeable flex of a aluminum rim vs carbon.
I love my Reserve 37’s on my Chameleon. Moved the same tires DHR 27.5 x 2.8 from the stock ArC 40 wheelset. The ride is night and day for me. The Reserves are so compliant and stiff on hard quick corners. Rides so soft and I always check my tires because feel like I have a leak or low pressure out of no where. I ride 22 psi front and back. Aluminum wheelset would beat me up on rock gardens here. The carbon soaks up all the bumps. Love it! Regardless of weight I love it!
Great review. I’m a fan of CushCore. I like the added protection and being able to run different tire pressures based on the trail menu choice of the day.
It's awesome they sent you some new hoops. I wasn't sure if those were you old Enve rims or not. I'm pretty happy with my Nobl rims. It's been three years now and they have been running great.
I sold the other ones with the last bike. I wouldn't have, but after having my Knights with a 45mm internal I knew I really liked a wider wheel and the old Enve's were like a 26 or 28 internal.
Great review, brother! My dream wheel set, are Enve carbon hoops laced to I9 hubs. Not sold on Cush Core, as I still think proper inflation combined with suspension set up are the ticket!
Nice … tire inserts are def the way to go … Used the Cushcore for a few years on my Bronson .. tired the XC versions and not quite as good. Trying Tannus now (lower weight) and so far its pretty sweet.

I'm not sponsored by them. They just gave me this one set. I bought the last ones I had. I realize there are a lot of other brands out there that are cheaper than Enve. It's just what I prefer to ride right now. Who knows maybe I find something new I like better that's cheaper. Thanks for mentioning Hunt. I've never heard of them.

I’ve also purchased new carbon wheels from smaller manufacturers and they are just as good if not better such as Nobl and We Are Ones with equal customer service than Enve. Enve is a good option but not bang for your buck. Great review! Cheers

Robert, looking for a new ride recommendation. I'm based here in Sacramento and regularly do Auburn or make the trek up to Nevada City for Hoot and Scott's Flat. Went with a friend to Rockville last weekend and don't think there's any reason to go back there. Not sure if Tahoe's opened up yet but was thinking of checking out Georgetown. Can you ride there without a shuttle?? Cheers, Rob.
I love Rockville. If you don’t have a guide your first few times it could be super lame. I wouldn’t recommend Georgetown without a shuttle. It’s just not fun that way. Corral and Armstrong are running already in f you go to South Lake. I heard Jackass is good up in Truckee as well as Downieville if self shuttling.
Not that I can say was from the rim tape and not just normal from the tires. It's honestly a great system. I really liked it over the traditional rim tape. The biggest downside was trying to get Cushcore on and a tire on. Sometimes that got a little difficult.
how is the trueness? I have Hope Enduro 29 with Pro 4 hubs, the rim shifts to the driveside/right after some hard shredding, front does it too, but usually rear does it more.
I'm getting a bike that I really want, but not the best color. I'm going to vinyl it in places and make the base color the trim color, other than that, I just set up bike to things I'm used to, bars, stem, pedals, saddle, grips, maybe tires. Never tried carbon wheels, might in the future.
Hey Robert, Fellow clidesdale mtb rider in your neck of the woods. Im planning another build. I don’t remember who I was talking about. I can say I love Project321 Hubs and if you are on Patreon there is a 20% code on there. Rim wise I love Enve but they definitely are a premium on cost. I have a set of Stan’s Barron CB7 carbon that have been pretty solid. I had Spokex on the podcast and the owner is a big dude. His rims are really cost effective and they are great wheel builders too
I love the Pedalling Innovations. All of my friends that have tried my demo set bought them. If you use the link bit.ly/pipedals I’ll get a commission. 🤘

I’ll say the alloy rims would have been toast as well on the strike that broke the new Enve’s. The old one they swapped out “just because”. They didn’t see any damage but because of how many spokes I broke they replaced just incase there was something that they couldn’t see.
I’m planning to up my release schedule. This one really took a ton of effort to put together. So hopefully I can get some easier ones put out here soon.
