The thing with the Thank U Next perfume, is that I never smelled pickles from it before I kept hearing people talking about it, then all I could smell was pickles. But if I don’t think about it, on my skin I get a powdery rose scent with macaroons, but once I think about the fact I’m wearing the perfume, I get the pickle scent immediately. I actually had my brother and cousin smell it, and my brother got cinnamon candy somehow and my cousin got a creamy coconut scent 🤷🏻♀️
Ilythia, Versace crystal Noir has been now reformulated. At least the new bottles here in Europe have arrived to the shops. And let me tell you, it is not the same scent anymore:(
I’ve finally hauled both Private Show and VIP Private Show and I prefer the VIP version. Private Show smells strong of alcohol in the beginning and then turns into a cheap sweet generic scent. No coffee, whipped cream ☹️ VIP version is more complex and fruity, perfect for hot summer weather 🥰 I agree with your boyfriend, Crystal Noir is head and shoulders above all the other fragrances you had mentioned 🔥💯😍
I appreciate your mini review! I've been so so curious about both of those. I got Britney Spears Rainbow Fantasy, and it kinda reminds me of one of Ariana Grande's (Sweet like Candy/Ari, I have to go sniff again...). I'm thinking about selling it since it goes for so much!

Hmm, to be honest about Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next, it smells more unique than I think. Aromatic herbs, then infused liquor with a fruity, rosy and a fluffy coconut twist. It’s worth the patience to smell the entire notes and performs like crazy.
I heard the Versace crystal noir edt got reformulated and now the ones with 78% written on the bottom smell different, not gothic. It’s also the edp that got/will get discontinued I think
I guess I’m going to have to yield to getting the “Thank You, Next”. I love really good dill pickles, could probably eat a jar if I weren’t worried about getting sick 😉 I’m curious how you conducted the sampling, though. Was it done by applying to your skin, sprayed into the air, on a card stock? It could make such a difference! Good idea for a video! Thanks 😊

I notice it most when I appreciate a fragrance more on someone else, or vice versa. I’ve tried ‘meh’ scents in n my skin in a store, only to regret hours later, that I hadn’t bought them. It could just be in my mind, too!
Hahaha my boyfriend likes Chanel chance eau tendre edp too! According to him it smells very classy and elegant! Like a rich boss lady 😂 and I completely agree, there is something very classy smelling about it.

I think your boyfriend finds Thank You Next as smelling like a new job, because that "dill pickle note" also smells like newly printed paper. If you've smelled "Book" by Commodity it has that same note. So, like a office a little bit too.

Out of these perfumes, some of my own favorites that I also own are Chance Eau Tendre, Cloud, Versage Crystal Noir and Private Show. I have been performing a children's show where I am a singing, dancing Mermaid. And this week my "Mermaid Mist" that all the little girls just LOVED is Britany Spears Private Show. I have also been wearing Al Rahab Soft and Aqualina Pink Sugar over the last month of shows and when the little girls want their pictures taken with me and hug me, I always hear, "You smell so good!" Then all of them are clamoring, "I want to smell the mermaid!" There is just something simple, sweet and fun about those particular scents that kids just love and that makes them happy. (I was wondering where I'd wear those outside of my house.)
Have you tried Nishane Hundred Silent Ways? It is beautiful and some people say it is similar to Black Opium ( I don’t know about that ) but I love it and the performance is a 10/10.

Every time I have or wear a new scent, trust me he’s going be sniffing me 😆 if he loves it, it goes to “his scent” collection. To be honest, “his favorite” scents happens to be the least expensive perfumes or almost all designer perfumes. My niche perfumes - the only one he loves is BR540 extrait all is else, he doesn’t care for at all.

I wanted to buy Private Show but didn’t because I saw how the clear liquid oxidized to yellow in peoples reviews. The same thing happened with my Curious Britney Spears. The notes sound like a cute dessert though

I love his descriptions!! Lol...I like to use situations and places to describe fragrances too ..lol I used to wear Eau Tendre as a signature through my entire 20s, I grew tired of it, so I sold it and now I LOVE and own Chance Eau Vive which in my opinion is more mature, more sophisticated, the grown older sister of Eau Tendre. I absolutely love it! I don't see myself going back to Eau Tendre after graduating to Eau Vive...Eau Fraiche is actually really nice too. I don't like the original Chance Chanel tho
After this video I was this 🤏🏽close to purchasing the Versace Bright Crystal noir.. but the mixed reviews got to me and I'm just scared. This isn't my normal scent profile but I want something sexy and alluring for when I go out even though I normally gravitate towards sweet fruity floral or gourmand fragrances. Never smelled pickles in thank you next, it was my first perfume and to me it smells bright, fresh, and fruity. I’m surprised you said it has great staying power because to me it seems to only last a couple hours. Could it be that my nose gets used to the smell and I can’t pick it up after a couple hours, or longevity can differ on peoples skin??
Thank you next is a strange perfume but yes very addictive! I don't get dill pickles but my husband thought I was cooking with dill pickle juice when he walked in the kitchen!! but he loves it! And another time I wore it my daughter thought I was eating dill chips 😂😂

Crystal Noir will always be in my top fragrances, it’s always been a favorite and always will be.

This might be an uncommon experience but I find that most perfumes (with exceptions to a few) aren’t that different when sprayed on skin/air/card
It couldn’t smell pickles on my skin or on the test strip!
