This season has had some ups and downs, but it's been the closest to the first few seasons in a long time. This and the digging up Monika episode really felt like classic Shameless.

In real life Debbie and the Gallaghers would literally have virtually free healthcare through Medicaid lol. There wouldn’t really be a show though, or moments like these, if they had Medicaid/Medicare/Gov’t Assistance
This season just turned around with the last episode. It wasn't terrible but now I'm enjoying it! FINALLY coming back full circle for some real Gallagher moments. Even Fi and Lip got petty. Love it.
+Michelle Woods Being an asshole to someone in every episode, having an annoying bitchy voice, literally serving no purpose in the show etc... If she died I highly doubt the show would change at all.
I know there's a comedic undertone to this, but it's really sad how Debbie has to resort to illegal work to make ends meet and then, when she gets hurt, has to mutilate herself because she can't afford the hospital bill. Watching this show has really made me feel grateful that I was born into a stable family and had opportunities to further my education. We weren't rich by any measure, and there was a stretch where food was tight, but we were never at the poverty line like the Gallaghers. And it unsettles me that there are hundreds of thousands of Americans who are stuck in this cycle of poverty :(
too bad this was already near the end of season 8 it was the only scene that really made it feel like the old shameless the rest of this season was pretty dreary, hope the next one is better

I remember I was going deep sea fishing with my dad and friends and I dislocated my shoulder and he had to reset it on the boat cuz we were 3 hours away from shore, it felt like my arm was cut in half, and it felt so good when he put it back in place it still hurt but not as bad
