You definitely should check out Stone. It was the first band Roope achieved major commercial success with. Stone has opened for Metallica and other heavy metal behemoths. You can hear other great musicians from Amorphis, Suburban Tribe and such playing in Stone. Great trash [sic] band!

This was, of course, well before CoB even existed. Rather: Latvala ex Stone, that is. Soon after he joined Waltari, and did pretty awesome work there, too. After that, Sinergy, CoB etc. You can well listen to Sibelius and Latvala back-to-back, and probably hear how certain harmonies, soundcolours and textures just must, despite of undeniable differencies, sprout from the very same arid ground.
