You are very fortunate to have been raised by one. I grew up never knowing them-from both sides. They already passed away even before I was born. Listening to stories from my parents and relatives, I find my grandfather from both sides are great men. Both loving, kind, and family-oriented. I only wished I could have met them earlier. So every time I met my friend's grandparents or any old people for that matter, I pay them respect, generosity, and kindness as a way of giving thanks to both my grandfathers when they were still alive.

My nan and grandad had their anniversary on my grandad s birthday he would say it was so he never forgot the date lol wow it most have helped they love each other right till the end 60 years together grandad was 90 something and nan 80 something . And grandad would say it the shy one u want boy to my brother and me . My friend know what that means now lol shy people don't let u down and love cheeky if you get me lol I pray once just got let me down bad boys look. U know when it not u more about them bring up daddy pain that they can't fix. He is far from us and we cannot afford to give a visit since it needs to be travelled by plane and there are 4 of us in the family. Olinah 🌹 Listened to this again on Fathers’ Day. I would have loved to share this video with my grandpa. He was one of the most hard working men ever. My dad learned a lot from him. He was a very adventurous guy and spent a lot of years traveling by boat before he met my grandma. Those two “fell in love to stay.” The ocean and beautiful countrysides were his only other lovers. His travels covered most of the Pacific. I’m so glad I got the chance to ask Grandpa about the good old days. He’s told me some crazy but cool stories of his past. I’m sure he would be re-inspired by you guys and what you’re doing :)

This song reminds me of my 2 grandfather. I love them so much and miss them. I even remember specially when its my birthday, i got a surprised. Be it big or small, i appreciate it. So sad they're gone now. But both of them remain in my heart. I describe them as a disciplinarian person but i love it. Why?it teaches you at a very young age to value integrity in life. I lost my nan in 2018 then after she died my grandad died 2019 . Name: Rich My grandpa..well, I've never really talked to him because he couldn't speak. He was paralyzed for more or less 40 years of his 80+ years of life. But despite his inability to talk to me he showed me his own silent way of telling me he loves me. Grasping at my hand, meeting my eyes and smiling at me. It was a warm feeling. Something I could never forget. Even when he died 3 years ago. A year or two earlier than his wife. My grandpa suffered greatly before he died but all is well. I'm sure he's okay now, happy with my grandma. But, I wish I could talk to him for even just a day. To tell me of his adventures and how the journey of his life went. But that was impossible then and even more so now. So people out there who still have their grandpa's, talk to them, hear their stories, tell them you love them. They won't be here forever.
Just lost my grandpa due to COVID, He was 74 and the sweetest guy I ever met. He just loved his family and wanted to be a part of his kids' and grandkids' life as much as he could. You can never prepare yourself for the loss of a grandparent. They are the glue that holds the family together.

Julius Timkang Alapag June 2, will be my Grandpa's 2nd death anniversary. He died while I was sailing abroad (i'm a seafarer), and i couldn't even send him to his resting place. It shattered me i had to suffer depression. A lot has changed in me since then. I was able to seek help though for me to know how to fight this inner battle from time to time. Listened to this again on Fathers’ Day. I would have loved to share this video with my grandpa. He was one of the most hard working men ever. My dad learned a lot from him.
He was a very adventurous guy and spent a lot of years traveling by boat before he met my grandma. Those two “fell in love to stay.” The ocean and beautiful countrysides were his only other lovers. His travels covered most of the Pacific.

My grandpa passed away and I was the baby of the family. He called me “baby sister.” I picked out my grandpas arrangements for his funeral. I think that was the hardest time of my life. I’m forever broken. I chose this song to play at his funeral and it kills me everytime.

My grandpa..well, I've never really talked to him because he couldn't speak. He was paralyzed for more or less 40 years of his 80+ years of life. But despite his inability to talk to me he showed me his own silent way of telling me he loves me. Grasping at my hand, meeting my eyes and smiling at me. It was a warm feeling. Something I could never forget. Even when he died 3 years ago. A year or two earlier than his wife. My grandpa suffered greatly before he died but all is well. I'm sure he's okay now, happy with my grandma. But, I wish I could talk to him for even just a day. To tell me of his adventures and how the journey of his life went. But that was impossible then and even more so now. So people out there who still have their grandpa's, talk to them, hear their stories, tell them you love them. They won't be here forever.

June 2, will be my Grandpa's 2nd death anniversary. He died while I was sailing abroad (i'm a seafarer), and i couldn't even send him to his resting place. It shattered me i had to suffer depression. A lot has changed in me since then. I was able to seek help though for me to know how to fight this inner battle from time to time. But I know my grandpa is with God , they're both watching over me, so I'll be fine. 😊
