Aquamoon3 The shame of it is is that Steve and Carol could have been on screen earlier. Unfortunately, a man named Ike Purlmutter preceded Kevin Feige as the head Marvel film production. He didn’t believe a female character could carry her own solo movie. That’s also why you’re getting a Black Widow movie in 2020 instead of after the first Iron Man movie eleven years ago. A Black Panther solo movie even was on the table nine years ago. It was kept out of production by the same person Kevin Fiege replaced, because he didn’t think a Black character could carry a solo film either.

steven gilmer yeah I’ve heard about that. It’s crazy to think that we could have had all of these characters in the mcu years ago. Also ironic how both captain marvel and black panther were two of marvel’s most successful solo movies, yet he didn’t think they’d make any money.
