Oo I love it when the drills come in bags. I have a storage container with compartments and I just line the colour up in DMC order in the baggies. I’m going to check this company out I think! Hope you’re having a great day.

Im listening to you at work. I HATE working from the baggies. I kit down into them but i like individual co tainers. Ive finally found my fave through lots of trial and error.
I like that the come in baggy's because i don't like kitting up... So if you have them in baggy's already, you can start painting straight away. I like that idea very mutch. I never had that with a painting.
i like when the drills are in those bags but i like it way more with me putting them in storage

Nice to see you so excited about a new company! I don't store my drills the way you do, so I don't save my bags, but I like them because it's so much easier to kit up my fast and lazy way without having to open all those bags with scissors. Thanks for another great video

I like it in the container because the bags always breaks. Maybe I am a bit rough with my zip lock baggies but yea containers for me.
Nice diamond painting. I like it when the diamonds come in the bags because I can use them for the left over drills. To work on my painting I do prefer to use containers.

I always kit up into little dishes, eg like tic tac boxes or other bead storage containers. Have not been lucky enough to get in baggies. Love your videos.
I am new to this, ummmmmm, therapy. I watch your videos and look forward to the time to open another. One question. I couldn`t tell if the DMC was posted or not. Kinda important to me. I'm not sure how much shipping is to Portugal from UK but I know what you mean... stuff from the US is very high!
I prefer my Darice-like containers when I kit up a painting. I do not like to have to open & close those plastic bags for the duration of the kit. I tend to rip them with my nails.

I like companies that send their drills in baggies. I have very limited space (one room) and I use a small binder with baseball card sleeves for the project I'm working on and a larger one with all the DMC numbers for when I kit down. I label the bag with the company name and DMC and put in the big binder.

What’s the biggest piece you’ve ever worked on and how long does it take you to complete one that’s more than the normal size? how often do you diamond paint since I know you have other hobbies, idk how you can balance all of the different projects 😅
Hi Maria, I think the biggest piece I worked on was 42x120! The time really depends on how big and how many color changes there are. I've never really timed myself because I always forget to set a timer! xD I haven't been diamond painting regularly since I finished my Pocahontas piece. I'm sure the bug will bite again!

I would imagine top right so that your hand doesn't stick in the glue as much, but some people prefer top left because your hand lays on the diamonds (I don't like the feeling personally)... experiment and find what is best for you :)
I like kitting up into baggies. I tried the containers but it was awkward for me. I know Im weird.
Containers
I'm not a fan of the bags for a few reasons. First, this method is done by companies that do not have or cannot afford a bagging machine. To the best of my knowledge, the little ziplock bags are not capable of automation. The diamonds are are purchased in bulk and weighed and put into the bags by hand by a person. These days, with the current Covid situation, I prefer less touching of my goods. Second, because they are weighed by hand, I feel there is more room for error. In the first kit I purchased that was packaged this way , I was short on 12 colors and 2 others colors had the exact amount. Third, every time I get a kit where the diamonds smell bad, they seem to be packaged like this. Finally, there seems to be a greater likelihood of static when they are packaged like this, probably due to the excess handling. Yes, they can be convenient to kit up (but for the occasional static or smell issues), but that doesn't outweigh the other problems in my book.
All good points, especially the static. But by the time the kit arrives, it will no longer have any living virus on it, so I wouldn't worry about that - though the margin of error could theoreticlly be higher, I'd say that the issue is more incorrect math / bad drill quality than the person bagging up the drills (or I'd hope, anyway).
@@RachelRaeCraft Yeah, I realize the virus would be dead. I just imagine people licking their fingers to open the little bags, or holding one in their mouth to pull apart and it just makes me cringe.
Hi Rachel, I wanted to know how you got on with the most recent victoriasmoon dp you got. I ordered from them and my package was fine, the drills seem to be in good condition so far and I had no rivers. Either they have improved significantly or I was just lucky 😂
I'm glad to hear that! I haven't touched it, to be honest. I have 5 DP wips and I want to finish them before moving on and VM is very far down my list of to do canvases, truthfully.
