Great content. I would really appreciate it if you could include some industry statistics. Your video focuses mainly on student's aspirations and skills but lacks the other side of the story. For example, even if I am great at CFD but if there is no demand from the industry, I suppose that it is not a preferred domain. It would be great if you could make another video on demand vs supply aspects of these skills. Mainly quantifiable quantities such as a number of job availability, how many CFD Engineers vs Design Engineers work in a company, also financial aspects such as salaries paid, future career development, etc. This would also help students who are good at both or new to both make a well-informed decision. Thanks!
I totally agree to this. For me i can go in both as i am strong in surface modelling as well as fluid mechanics. But i would choose which field has more scope .and there would be many others like me who are interested in both... Incase i choose and learn designing and go for interviews and later find out tht the company already has sufficient design engineers and they are actually looking for CFD . i would end up banging my head tht why didnt i choose tht. So it will be really helpfull if u provide us a certain data too... The video was really helpfull for me though
This is a excellent video for people who are trying to decide where to go and what to do with a career path and I've only watched a minute and 15 seconds...
Sir i dont have any experience in cfd fea but i want to start a career in this. Since no company recruiting fresher how can i start career in this Please guide
You don't necessarily need to be a professional designer, but you must be proficient in numerical methods. Additionally, the specific application for which you are using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is important. If you are using CFD for HVAC, you need to be an expert in HVAC. If you are using CFD for combustion analysis, you need to be an expert in combustion phenomena and species.
To be a CFD engineer you do not have to be really good at designing. But a basic understanding of design will help you come up with inferences for the product dev team especially on what they can change in order to make the product satisfy the overall product requirements. But you do not need to be a specialist in design

I have a doubt Is it possible to change the domain from Design to Cfd , CAE, crashworthiness analyst, FEA after I have some years of experience in design

Sir, is there any course for mechanical engineer if I didn't get a proper job after doing the course so that I can build my own company with little investment and start earning instead of sitting in home for nothing?
If we have luck, these courses will help us to get into a company. But, it doesn't teach us how to survive if we fail to crack interview or didn't teach how to grow money with little investment.
Sir pls reply Currently i have completed my btech preparing for gate engineering sciences tokk fluid mechanics and Thermodynamics as two core subjects. Sir i dont want to do mtech Can my gate score card willbe helpful in getting CFD job.
Once u finish ur Diploma do mechanical engineering and learn all design aspects from basic as much as possible then take design courses in advanced level with several industrial projects.

suyash ray CFD engineers don’t paid very well in Indian market and even very rare jobs available for them.
This was good help for students like me.

Who is paid well CFD engineer or Design engineer?
I like graphics drawing but don't interested in free hand sketches what I choose
Cfd is an integral part of design work I don't see how you can choose one over the other. Good talk though
Hello, I am a bit confused about the two-field CFD or Design.
Could you please tell me what you think
I want to be one who invent
I really liked your content
You are sharing Amazing knowledge
Thank you for sharing.
Sir what about HEV ?
I wanted to know the the future scope on HEV.
And comaparison between CAED,CFD and HEV domain.
Thank you so much for this video. It's very helpful and informative. 🙏🙏
Thank you for your feedback. You made our day! We look forward to continuing to serve you well :)
Sir , why MBD is ignored , please make some video on MBD please sir . I want to make career in these field .
Hey Prateek, we appreciate your interest in MBD. Kindly stay updated for a video on MBD, we will do it shortly
