The tricky thing about trading for Crochet is his innings limit. He's already thrown as many innings this year as he has the rest of his minor/major league career combined. He's a great long term pickup, but he won't help much down the stretch this year unless he gets moved to the pen.
@@markbeckens a 2 inning reliever of his caliber would still be a huge addition to any playoff team, not to mention him as a rotation guy the next 2 years when they’ll be good too
I feel the dodgers and or Texas rangers could pull this off. Dodgers get Garrett and Luis Robert for Gavin Stone, Bobby Miller, Andy Pages, and Diego Cartaya. And or Texas gets Garrett and Luis for Wyatt Langford, Leody Tavares, Jack Leiter, and Justin Foscue.
As a white soxs fan those are some massive overpays for garret crochet I would make all those trades in a second especially that dodgers trade daulton rushing in that trade is crazy
If Crochet had a durable track record these asking prices wouldn’t be egregious, unfortunately that’s not the case at all. I mean, if you’re a contender do you drop his pitch count to 50 pitches for 6 weeks and build him back up early September? So tough to plan around him being available and dominant without some kind of plan for innings management
Crochet has never pitched more than 50 innings until this yr, he's injury prone, and O's should steer clear of him. He will most likely Peter out bt end of August!
@@user-f5xt2op9t •he major league ready •has a very good contract •under team control •24 year olds •lead the league in strikeouts and top 5 in most statistics •all star his first year starting after battle injuries •he is an ace for the white Sox’s I don’t see how he isn’t worth someone top 1 prospect or even worthy many top prospects ?
I’m not sure how that Orioles deal makes sense? If they’re going to rebuild, why trade for a headliner who is 25 in AAA? I’d understand Mayo since the Orioles infield is packed with stars already and would be a good young age for the WS
at the end of the day, age doesnt really matter when its one or two years but rather service time. However, Kjerstad has 6 more years of service time, more than enough to build a franchise cornerstone out of

Good fit for a team early-ish in their window with redundancies in their farm system (Baltimore)
Not if you're trading for him to help this year. The Orioles wouldn't be trading for him 2 years from now. They need him now and in the playoffs.

I believe: Bauer would play his heart out for the O's!
I say no way to your proposition on the O's trade. That is way too much to give up for Crochet.
You smoking that good stuff if you think the Orioles give all those prospects.
O's should take a very hard look at Bauer! Doesn't get any cheaper, and no prospects needed!
why r u such a Bauer simp. No team has wanted him for years. O;s are definitely not that desperate.
You will see in the all star futures game why they can potentially move crochet. Noah Schultz is basically a younger even taller crochet.
Mayo and Norby for Crochet
The Sox need to sign Crochet to a long term contract. You can build a staff around Crochet.
Why isn’t the braves here they are definitely favorites for crochet
crochet and luis robert to NOT include Holiday or Mayo at least? LMAO
Trades for Brent Rooker? Hopefully hes a red. He has an expected hr of 18 in GABP which would be tied for 7th in the league.

He’s had very common pitcher injuries.
I like Crochet as the long man to replace coulombe, not as a starter. Def not a starter.
Clearly you know nothing about crochet

I agree. WAYYYYY to rich. Specially "throwing in" Povich and Norby? uninformed.

That’s way too much for the Orioles to give up. Kjerstad, Mayo, Basallo and Holliday are off limits.
Then your not getting Garrett crochet simple as that 🤷♂️
you gotta be kidding me every player you have coming back to the sox is terrible try again we don't want the 23rd rated prospect
