- Fabio is my 5 year old Indian Ringneck. He’s a very chatty and sweet boy. He loves to dance, talk and sing but on his own time!

My love life:
I adopted an 18 month old rescue female a year ago after lots of research (watched your vids in the process). I'm blessed to work from home so she is with me 24/7. Took a lot of work & love to earn her trust but now she is definitely part of the family. She doesn't talk human but does chatter, whistle & almost talk. Usually she does this while getting sleepy... almost like singing herself to sleep. Love it. Adding her to the family was the best decision I ever made.

I love it when I think he stares right into the camera and says "I love you", but then I remember that his eyes are on the side of his head, so he's not really looking at me :-(

creeper person exactly. they are prey to birds of prey so that’s why parrots/parakeets have their eyes on the side unlike birds of prey that their eyes are in front 😊

We have so many questions: 1#: When was the day were you got these two adoreble little fellas 2#: When did you teach them how to speak?
We got them as babies and no we did not teach them to speak, birds pick up what they like to say based on listening to TV, conversations, etc.

Honestly depends on the bird. All of ours have talked from very young ages and some birds don’t start til they are older.

I'm getting a just weaned (for 1 week) Indian ringneck tommrow I'm SO excited! Any tips?
Sadie and Yoshi biggest tip is ensure the bird is on a proper diet (no seed crap) Harrison’s or roudybush pellets, fresh veggies and fruits daily, limit the fruit to 10% or less as it’s naturally high in sugar and can cause medical problems if fed too much. As well as big cage, lots of toys, lots of out time and have patience during the bluffing stage it will come quick, it can be very loud, aggressive lots of biting but reward for behaviours you like and ignore bad behaviours (this can be VERY hard to do) and just enjoy your new baby. Even if he or she doesn’t talk make sure you love him just as much!
@@AbaddonHades I'm planning on not caging her unless she needs space or at night I also already bought Harrison's pellets 😊 and lots of vegetables and a few fruits to try! Does every ringneck go through the bluffing stage? I'm ready for it I grew up with a macaw and she went through it so I know how to ignore that behavior
@@AbaddonHades I also have a larger flight cage for her. It's like 25 wide and 66 inches long
