- For Verna, Accent, Solaris, i20 etc. unplug connection to mute the horn sound while locking and unlocking the car. In newer models, first try to press Lock and Unlock button together for 10sec and check if the sound is muted. Incase it is muted, you don't have to unplug connection.
DISCLAIMER: Disconnecting the horn from anti theft security system has its obvious disadvantages.

the horn is just under the hyundai logo u can see through front grill

Even the security alarm don't beep in case of theft attempt if it's disconnected
You need to use your left hand press the right side of the plug and gently pull it. It took some time to figure it out.

Wrong information. That's not the way to do it. You don't have to do all that. All u have to do is hold both lock & unlock button in your remote key for 7 seconds, the side lights in your car will flash five times. Now see the horn doesn't play when u press lock or unlock button.
Bro, holding both lock and unlock key only works in specific models. In India it works in newer BS6 VERNA only. Doesn't work in all models, hence the video
I tried this and my lights flashed 4 times but it didn't turn off the beeping. Any advice?

Yeah.. you can fit other type of horn or buy a maruti red alarm horn which is better sounding and fit it..

Not advisable as that's the part of ecu mapping.. Don't void ur warranty.. Alternately I can suggest you to get some music system upgrade to forget the annoying beeper 😎

Before disconnecting your alarm try pressing the lock and unlock button of your remote SIMULTANEOUSLY for a few seconds (till the indicators flash). This is safer because it is programmed into the car system. This method works for cars of most brands.

I think newer models post 2018 has different setup. Also newer models has beep at 80Kmph and constant beep above 120kmph. Sucks man. Ill see to find out a DIY solution

Nice thought.. As per my offcial experience I could say
1. This may be due to a committee decision
2. Some superior wanted to put on his value addtion
If customers would have access to information, I too want to know whose stupid decision was it, any later in newer model cars who enabled the feature to mute with the key switches..

In most cars pressing the lock and unlock buttons simultneously for a few seconds (till the indicators flash) also puts the car in silent mode. It will be safer to do because it is already programmed in the car. Also there will be no need to disconnect any cable.
