Yeah so I guess Costco bought out Shutterfly and they merged it with their photo dept. So on Shutterfly’s website you can add your Costco member no. to your account in settings and it automatically discounts your orders (and when you’re on Costco’s website and go to order prints it takes you to Shutterfly’s website). I ordered 2 large prints and 80 4x6 prints for an album/scrapbook and saved so much money!!

Love the mushroom mirror! Years ago my dad threw out a damaged flywheel 😱 My brain threw a fit and kept repeating to itself: "dieselpunk mirror, dieselpunk mirror" ...So I attached a circular mirror to the flywheel with brackets and JB Weld and now I have a wonderfully distressed Dieselpunk mirror on my wall :)
well I love this. Especially the mushroomed picture frame. I now need to convince my inner goblin to not break a frame we already have to have a reason to do this. Course I'm currently building a little graveyard in a glass coffin so there is moss laying about just waiting to be glued on things.
You surely fairyfied your entrance! Why not hang your modpodge painting a bit more to the right to cover the hole from the thermostat... The woodfiller is that, a filler, you can use it for small holes and deep cracks, especially if you stain or varnish it, because it looks like wood. If you want to cover a larger area you have the white or pink 'plaster for wood or metal' ( sorry I only know brandnames from Europe) that is a bit smoother to apply. And makes a durable layer that is easy to paint.
This hits so many whimsy meters for me! That green you used on the bench is gorgeous! And the red and green doesn't look all that festive to me- but that's just my opinion. I'm definitely checking out that artist!
I was going to ask how long do you think the bench was going to last because I have cats and I know how destructive and obsessive they are. 😂 And then you showed the new scratch in it. How long did that last? A couple hours?
Omg so haha I noticed the next day and I touched up the new scratches with leftover paint. But the one I showed on the video was a NEW scratch 😂 I think because I moved the scratching box so now it stays next to the bench. He’s been better… 😅
Looks great, love it! You did an awesome job, love the moss mirror and the photo of you two, it's my favorite project of the stuff you did for the makeover. I'm about to make some slip covers for my accent pillows in my living room.
Cute re do and very creative! I love chalk paint we make our own as it's cheaper, plus we use it in large quantities. Always wise to use a furniture wax to seal and helps with cleaning. I still love shabby chic! Hubby built me a coffee table that's very shabby chic but that fits my romantic yet whimsical grandma cottage . Oh and I like red and green together... All my main living area is red and green accented with cream and pinks. One day you'll have to come over and see..hubby is slowly working on making the cottage more victoriana lol , I say slowly cause in between real job and working on getting our daughter's restaurant finished our projects are on hold....for now.
You're totally right to worry about harming yourself with power tools, especially sanders like that! I have small hands and wrists and ended up giving myself terrible tendonitis in my wrist that never healed using a sander like that for a cosplay, and I definitely regret it. I love what you did with the entryway!

I have a project that I haven't finished because I was on the fence about the trim. I knew I was planning on using Rub n Buff, but I didn't know if I wanted to use green for the base color or a darker color. After seeing your trim, I'm sold on the green 💚 Looks great!!!
I think it all looks so magickal 💚💜 I don't think that style is shabby chic at all, for me it feels more bohemian meets whimsical. With the mod podge if the humidity is a little high it'll take longer to cure properly and that's why the paper stretches and bubbles. Maybe find a dry, hot spot and it should shrink the bumps 😊 xx

I did got them secondhand but I’ve seen them on Amazon. I have another book box thing in my office as well that matches that I also thrifted a while back. Both were broken when I found them so they’re not the best quality but I glued both of them back together.
I swear they get me in my sleep sometimes. Idk how they manage to get into the house 😫 probably sneak in when poppy comes in from her nighttime potty time.
Yeah and I was told that bitter orange smell keeps them away too which is in the pray I bought (you spray it on the item you want them to stay away from and it leaves a faint smell they don’t like). I think having the alternative items to scratch has definitely helped a lot too though.

cats don't like camphorated oil ,one drop on finger tip and smear anywhere that you want to deter your moggie
