Perflex UK, 4 years in

It's been 4 years now since I first introduced Perflex to the UK.
6-12 month period of testing, individually and with a few tradesmen. Then, I began venturing out to sites and retailers, often (99.9%) encountering skepticism and dismissive remarks about the product's viability.
It's evident now that we were on the right track, as the product has steadily gained popularity, to the extent that Europe and the US have begun to take notice. I hate to boast, perhaps it's a weakness of mine, but I'm fairly certain I made a significant contribution to a couple of continents there - you're welcome.
One of the best indicators of the product's relevance is the emergence of copycats. It's encouraging as it raises awareness of this type of product. I'm not one to become overly paranoid or confrontational with other companies, but it's a bit irksome when they blatantly replicate my work, word-for-word. It's also a bit concerning because not all of these imitations are of the same quality.
I've consistently upheld the highest quality standards, regardless of whether a cheaper alternative exists. I worry that inferior versions may lead people to assume that all products of this type are subpar.
I still consider it a relatively new product, 12-18 months of testing and initial awareness-building, then 12 months of early adoption, and roughly a year of significant sales and usage. We started from ground zero with a very modest budget (also zero 😄).
We now have 14 independents stocking the products, worked with a training centre, and are speaking to 3 other training centres to help out (something I love doing), we developed and introduced a neutral cure colour-matched silicone, created a new brand for trade wipes, and worked on and developed the various tools from tilers feedback.
As Perflex UK We will also be looking to introduce the wide range of other Perflex products (grout, waterproofing, coating, indoor and outdoor surfaces utilising epoxy and polyaspartic technologies) and for this we need investment, so if any of the big money boys/girls out there see this and would like to be part of making this small UK company a huge brand, please get in touch.
