That video is on it's way to a million views in two weeks time. If you see the comment section it's packed with people who had the same emotional reaction.
The fact that the both of you were crying 😢 but her analysis on the lyrics is the best interpretation of what the lyrics are about that I've ever heard...I love your video, and both of you! Hugs from Chile 🇨🇱 ❤
I love how moving it is to hear them together, but I also love how great it sounded to hear Josh's backing vocals supporting the two of them with their main parts. Three vocalists *could* overdo it, but godDAMN the three of them sculpted this song into something more than its already-excellent original. Also, of COURSE shoutout to Mike's composition and Zev's drumming! This band is really something, and I REALLY hope Josh's voice gets integrated more alongside Courtney's amazing vocals as they go. He's such an immense multi-talent to have with Spiritbox, my word.
It's okay. Even some of us tough guys well up when Tatiana enters with her cleans and when she screams the last chorus with Courtney singing clean. ❤ 💪💙💛
not for nothing but this deserves a grammy for live performance. this is epic and every time I come across a reaction video to it I'm happy to see that everyone loves it as much as I do.
I really loved your interpretation of the song. I never thought of it that way but now I won't be able to hear it any other way. I really really hope they both tour together. I would honestly be so overwhelmed with happiness.
I see it as a none-too-subtle meditation on ambition and the price of success, expressed in somewhat overwrought religious imagery. Probably provoked by selling out to Rise Records. (I refuse to believe that vultures really do circle flames.)
That collab is a gift for us to enjoy. It's a bit silly but I am genuinely happy for them that they could share this moment together, not even talking about how good the performance was. Also you will sad to hear that Spiritbox moved from Canada to Los Angeles (last year?). In fact Tatiana also lives in Los Angeles now 😅
Tatiana has a number of great collaboration with other bands. If you have not reacted to her collaboration with 12 Foot Ninja "Over and Out"(OMV), I highly recommend it.
Love these two ladies together. You can really hear how deep Tatianna's growls are compared to Courtney's and then Tatianna's growls layered underneath Cortney's clean. So amazing!

Guys, as Canucks are you bothered at all that Courtney is an American born woman fronting a Canadian band? Reason I ask is that my mentioning this fact brings some to want to tell me that she is Canadian. She was born in the US and raised there until her mid teens. It is quite possible she became a dual citizen later yet, for several years she and guitarist/husband live in the USA. Sorry to bother you two with this. Just need to know if Canada feels they need to claim her for some reason. Cheers! 🥂
@@enterthecronic I wasn't correcting you guys. 😀Just wondered your opinion as to why some refuse to believe that Courtney was born in the USA. Have a great day!
It's about witches being burned at the stake. When a witch was about to be burned, her followers would circle around her to gain her powers when she passed. The vultures are circling around her, so"Echo birds of prey" means gather in a circle around her, and all her powers can be yours. And "Cut down the alter" is the tree thats cut down to make the stake.
That's an interesting take. I have not heard that meaning before. Courtney mentioned in an interview that the song is about the anxiety and self doubt that she was feeling at the time with her music. She had everything she wanted in front of her (music career wise) and she just needed to have the confidence to take it on and not be scared. I'm not saying you're incorrect. Just wanted to share what Courtney said about the song. It could be that both are true.
I think this is one of the best collaborations of the year.

My favorite collaboration in a long time.

Tatiana and Courtney = 🔥🔥
Just an epic song brought to new heights with two amazing metal voices… just WOW
🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥
I was there in Lousville Ky !!!! It was amazing ❤❤ Festival Louder than Life

Josh doing the harmonies with Courtney and Tati sound so good.

Lol that actually increases these ppl's chance to collab on a legit song 😂😂😂😂
We have been blessed by the rock gods!!!!!

Agreed. Love that one!
❤❤❤
I always heard "echo words of prayer" and then "echo birds of prey"... idk but I think they both fit.
I don't think Courtney would ever use the word "prayer" in a lyric except ironically.

That wasn’t even really a growl for her though. That was like a mid lol.
Oh yeah this gave me major goosebumps!😊
Idk where the Box found this drummer but that dude is the truth
And now you can do Soft Spine with Poppy from the same show.
There are two versions: the earlier video on the riserecords channel is a continuous stomach-churning drone sequence 😉
I’ve had a huge crush on Courtney since iwabo
killer duo
Epic. Historic. Important.
Epic video!! And epic reaction!!
The auto-generated subtitles on UA-cam are almost never accurate enough to be worth using.
On the one-take video of this song they generate "Hamsters be detected" -- two reactors have been caught by this 😉
Hahaha that's true. Sometimes it even makes it harder to understand
Bald eagles are generally scavengers and can't grow their beaks back. Wholesome story though.

Spiritbox kicks ass eh?
Forget about how great the music is ..
How about that BIRD / EAGLE HUNTING KNOWLEDGE!!!!!! 😮

I just thought she was Canadian. It says the band is from Victoria so I guess we just assumed. Thanks for the correction

Bald eagles don't intentionally break their beaks wtf
That story about the eagles isn't true, by the way.
Speaking of magical, have you seen all the warning live videos from the Pepsi Center 2023 that they’ve released 23 amazing bangers
