Old leather chairs have indentations like what you're seeing in the chairs. Over time with many people sitting in them, the leather tends to stretch and crack like you see at the corners of the seat. Also, the music you heard when you came back down was from the clock. The older ones have beautiful chimes and can sound like music. Love you both, gimmekiss!
