when i was little i'd take the bras spoon arm from one of my impacts and put it in all of my plastic ones. Some worked, some didnt (when they didnt have the notch underneath the spoon to catch the trip mechanism. But the ones that had the trip mechanism in the back it worked great. I was just into the spoon brass impacts more. If you had the room, you could get a couple thousand gallon containers and use it to drive a pump and you could run your bigger 1" or bigger impacts. I've seen people use those full of water to run a pump to irrigate a bigger area. You could get one and a Pacer SE2UL e950 transfer gas powered pump and you could run a gun like i do. Of course the cost may be a little high but it'd be worth it.

Eventually I hope to get there and use a pump on the 55lbs of pressure I have before turning on the water, and 20lbs when the sprinkler is on and running. Right now expenditures are a challenge, but I have some plans in the works.

Good PJ Black Bird mod! It seemed a little hesitant at first to trip in reverse, but I suppose once the o-ring was fully lubricated by the water it had no problem tripping on it's own.

Thank you for watching, I think I will be making a test with just the one black washer and see what kind of results I get from that change. I know the o-ring by itself works, but does slow it down, yet it is steady, but I may make that test on here too.

I finally felt motivated to get my other P150 out and get one of my parts guns out and transfer over the good drive arm, counterweight and reverse spoon. I had to get my big pipe wrench out to get the nut cracked loose that holds it all on. Now i have to get ahold of some bits that are square, kinda like the end on a ratchet becuase this is whats holding the base flange on the bottom of the other one. Once i get those off, i need some permatex to make a seal so it doesn't leak. Then next year when it starts getting warmer i can test it out. However i still need to install a smaller nozzle to it, as the one on it is a 1.34" or 1.40" somewhere around there. I have a new .70" Taper bore i can install on it. I don't have stops for this gun however, but it can run full circle. Or maybe i could pull the ones off my P100 and see if they work on the 150. As those are about the same just used differently on that gun. I've been meaning to do this for awhile now i just got the motivation. This P150 i got from the dealer had a busted drive arm so it wouldn't have worked, the back weight part of it was snapped off and the arm wouldn't have had the necessary back force to keep hitting the stream.

I wish I knew more about the gun sprinklers to either add or put in my two cents but it sounds like you have it under control. My day with those guns will come.

@randyvanheusden732 at some point I will clean out my guns and sprinklers. If I do I may send you one to tinker with. I have a few extra rainbird guns that need attention I can send you one if you like. Some move but don't reverse correctly one leaks and barely moves. They are a rainbird 103 fast reverse.
