Hello! Welcome to my HanSelah art, design and freelance channel.
This is my full brand identity design process from start to finish that I follow when designing and creating a brand for brand design, logo design and graphic design freelance clients in my business. Follow these simple brand design process steps and learn how to create a brand identity from scratch today.
In this video, I create a visual brand identity for a brand called Spice Rack. This is not a real company - I created the brand simply to show how to create beautiful and simple branding for this branding and identity design video for design beginners and graphic design students.
For the this company brand identity design project, I do primary research and create a brand strategy for the company, I analyse and breakdown their target audience, target market - and do a competitor analysis, design a primary logo, design a secondary logo, design a submark logo and create a logo icon, create a landscape horizontal logo version that caters for responsive web design and different screen sizes, source and create harmonious brand colours using a simple tip (how to use the inkdrop tool on your moodboard and colour guide in Adobe illustrator), decide on a photography style moodboard, create a brand pattern, think of a brand icon and lastly, create beautiful packaging design for their product: herbs and spices.
I aim to help teach beginner graphic designers and students how to level up your graphic design and brand design skills to get more freelance design clients and make graphic design your full time job. Become a better graphic designer today!
This video is filled with lots of little pieces of graphic design advice. Learn to manipulate typography, type and fonts! This is a great tool to master as a graphic and brand designer. These are some simple tips and simple tools to improve your graphic design skills. These are basics, simple fundamentals for graphic design students and beginners to remember when they are creating client graphic design brand identity design work. This graphic design advice video is for both full-time graphic designers and beginners and students, remote graphic designers and graphic designers in a creative agency or marketing and advertising agency.

Thank you! I'm so glad you love the video :) The fonts are Douglas-Aaronade Script and Douglas-Burlington Regular which I downloaded from Envato Elements: 1.envato.market/nLPZ3x. I use Envato Elements for many of my graphic design resources.

Hey I have a question about brand identity manual sizes. Is there a specific page size that you usually use like A4 or it sometimes varies? Do you have a specific dimension that you use? I've seen some use a square format also.
Hi! Great question 😃 the sizes depend on the type of design and also if it is a print or digital format (pixels vs mm). For example, social media posts vs packaging vs letterheads vs business cards vs presentations etc all have different sizes. Each design has a specific format. For my presentation formats, I like to use 1920 x 1080p as it reads beautifully when seen digitally. Let me know if you would like me to go more in depth on this topic 😃
