All I was getting at is that in your country, knowing the boarders of your states is impressive, but for other countries, including mine, it is seen as rudimentary. In Canada, we have Social Studies, but in America, I think you would have history and Geography as two separate courses. Am I correct?

I need to figure out how to get the original news cast on to utube. I drew all 50 states, their capitals, the largest cities, and state nicknames in 90 seconds.

He didn't draw its tip really close to the mitten of Michigan, but if you pause carefully at the close-up, you can see it sitting right there on top of Wisconsin. ...I stopped typing to watch it full-screen, and right after drawing Wisconsin & the UP, about 0:10 or 0:11 he turns to the audience to make a comment and then turns back to draw the line between the two.

It's a tool for capturing the interest and attention of his audience to deliver a message greater than just drawing a map. Basically just an icebreaker.
