I think out of all the America's Got Talent contestants, Kodi Lee is my favorite. He never let his visual impairment get in the way of his singing and piano playing, and he is very courageous for doing that!
To be honest, I am completely against AGT when they favor some people with ‘sad’ stories just for pity, or judge differently just for that. This happens multiple times in every season. But, damn, this guy is so good, no matter his condition. He is a true artist.
People with "sad" stories had to overcome through adversity and label them as fighters. People love that and will always stand behind those fighters. Talent is one thing, but having to fight in order to make that talent shine makes it better. Did they ever give some free passes just for the stories, sure. Its a show. Justified passes of talent with stories on top will always have a better taste than talent alone.
