I’m using okiko platinum x Intan cichlid x Taiyo Hi-Red pellets for my 3 inch GB flowerhorn..results are quite good as I feed it twice a day..no live feed till now..will be feeding him with frozen chicken heart and prawns..I would suggest you to use Intan cichlid food it’s good with smell in it, flowerhorn loves it🙌

MY FLOWERHORN IS AFRAID OF MIRROR , RUNS AWAY FROM HIS REFLECTION
As a flowerhorn hobbyist and doing different way of grooming techniques, from my personal experience I think good fish genetic is the most important about 80% plus potential depends on genetic. After that 20% (maybe lesser) percentage depends on water quality and other feeds and accessories to have a good and vibrant colour fish. But never forget that buying flowerhorn fries is always a gamble, if the parents are both vvip quality you can't confirm that the fries will become a vip fish. So who ever wants to buy a flowerhorn fries i suggest to go for atleast 2inch size.
