Dan Forshaw is a jazz saxophonist, educator, and UA-camr. He is one of the most charismatic and exciting musicians on the UK jazz scene, and his UA-cam channel is a great resource for anyone interested in learning more about jazz. Couldn’t disagree with anything on the list. Some great alto albums: Sonny Stitt sits in with Oscar P, pretty much anything by Cannonball, Musique Du Bois… and Live at the Showboat, (Phil Woods), Charlie Parker with Strings are the obvious ones to me. Happened to listen to a lovely Sax and Piano duet album with Branford and Ellis Marsalis (Loved Ones) which I think has a nice laid back vibe to it. Thanks for the great content.
