I've had my USMC K-Bar for many years now (1970s era). It probably wouldn't be considered as the best fighting knife on the market. Nor would it be considered as being the best camping knife on the market. But it has definitely served me well in all situations I have needed it for. Evidently, I don't need the best of anything...just the one that works for me. (USMC 70-76)
