Blaze is way to underrated he is an icon and one helluva guitar picker and songwriter we truly miss you blaze and wish you was here but I can only hope that when I get to where you are I can hear more beautiful music from you
II been thinkin' Uncle Sam It’s time we went to war Been so long since Vietnam Tell me what you’re waintin' for If you don’t hurry, sure enuff All these kids will be grown up Be too old to die for you So get em if your goin' too Ain’t been much excitement on Evening news in way too long Let’s break out our submarines Blow some place to smithereens Russians and the Cubans too Have been makin' fun of you They call you a chicken shit And I’m just sick and tired of it But I’m too old so I can’t go Don’t you to worry tho Patriotic as can be Sing 'my country tis of thee' If you don’t know who to get first You can’t figger who’s the worst Why not blow em both away And they’ll be careful what they say Won’t nobody call you names They know you blow out their brains Show the world how big your gun Show ‘em how the west was won Happy birthday, fine young man Take your letter in your hand Go downtown and sign your name It’s time to play the freedom game Kiss your mom and girlfriend bye Might be the last they see of you Might have to kiss your ass goodbye To keep old glory wavin' high I been thinkin' Uncle Sam It’s time we went to war Been so long since Vietnam Tell me what you’re waintin' for?
Wounderful performence. I might be wrong, but when I look at the background it seems like this video recording and the recordings of If I could only fly and Faded love and memories comes from the same party/performance?
@@mopacmediaThanks, nice to hear, then I have seen 3 videos with Blaze from this wedding. I discovered Blaze 2010, and as a consequence, I have never seen him performing live. But I can imagine how magic it must have been.
@@nickalina In the introduction, to a live performance of Clay Pigeons, John Prine is telling a story of how he got interested to know more about Blaze, when he discovered Willie Nelsons cover on If I could only fly. As John Prine started to ask around, people told John that he actually met Blaze around 1976-77 in Austin Texas, although John couldn't remember it.

Blaze and Townes are the real two.
Love❤️
I hope maybe he can see how far his music has come even though he didn't get to travel far with it. RIP BLAZE....
Just imagine to have a legend playing at your wedding... :/
Thank you for bringining this to us!
II been thinkin' Uncle Sam
It’s time we went to war
Been so long since Vietnam
Tell me what you’re waintin' for
If you don’t hurry, sure enuff
All these kids will be grown up
Be too old to die for you
So get em if your goin' too
Ain’t been much excitement on
Evening news in way too long
Let’s break out our submarines
Blow some place to smithereens
Russians and the Cubans too
Have been makin' fun of you
They call you a chicken shit
And I’m just sick and tired of it
But I’m too old so I can’t go
Don’t you to worry tho
Patriotic as can be
Sing 'my country tis of thee'
If you don’t know who to get first
You can’t figger who’s the worst
Why not blow em both away
And they’ll be careful what they say
Won’t nobody call you names
They know you blow out their brains
Show the world how big your gun
Show ‘em how the west was won
Happy birthday, fine young man
Take your letter in your hand
Go downtown and sign your name
It’s time to play the freedom game
Kiss your mom and girlfriend bye
Might be the last they see of you
Might have to kiss your ass goodbye
To keep old glory wavin' high
I been thinkin' Uncle Sam
It’s time we went to war
Been so long since Vietnam
Tell me what you’re waintin' for?
It's as kind of prophetic 😢
Thank you so much for posting this!!
This is amazing
Oh yeah, good one. Blaze was great 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍Lloyd aka Lone Wolf :)
Great song, with sarcasm. Good for today!

Yes indeed -- same wedding party. I think there are 3 or 4 videos from this tape.

Yeah, same here -- funny, I discovered Townes and Prine via Blaze! (around 1998)
@@mopacmedia , I discovered Blaze and Justin Townes Earle via John Prine.

art in its highest form. Probably did it with a borrowed "crappy" guitar too
Great fucking song
Whats the story behind this backyard wedding performance?? They are quiet for this but not for if I could only fly? Who is the really drunk lady
"Show em how the West was won."
Sadly this will be very pertinent song until WW4... #YourWaq
Clock's ticking. We can just change it to WW4 though. Blaze wouldn't mind, I'm sure.
Oh 💩
