In Tamil it is called power Pandy depicting the hero as a non brahmin keeping in view the dravidian politics where brahmins are treated in such a way the brahmins don't dare to reveal the caste as that invites sarcasm etc. While dubbing the movie in Hindi Paandy has changed as Pandey to rhime with the title but make the hero belonging to the suvarna caste. This is the difference between the north and south. In north Chulbul Pande is welcome and in south he is an outcast as if they came to India through Khyber Pass, which was untrue
