On 2023, still improve and won summer Player of the split, just that. Zeka Yone was a bit too much for T1. It's time for Faker to step down at the end of the season. It's not sustainable anymore for a team like T1 to have a player who basically has to sit on Azir duty to be even with enemy mid laner, otherwise he gets outperformed almost every game.
Faker is the only reason T1 is sustainable, from a financial perspective at least. He’s also the reason why the LCK is still able to stay afloat despite having horrible financials heading into 2024. LCK and T1 will do their utmost to keep Faker in the league as long as possible until sponsors and fans find a replacement, which doesn’t seem to be anywhere on the horizon. On a related note, 10/10 times any team would select Faker over Chovy and Zeka for this reason alone. Even if the coaches are against it, there’s no way admin would give up the opportunity. This is probably a good lesson for young people stating their careers. Make yourself indispensable so that even when you’re struggling, you’re still a desirable candidate.
