The goldfishing at the end for quick demo is a fantastic touch! More channels should do this. Obviously showcases the deck, BUT also gives insight to the reliability of opening hand. Good work!!!!

On your playtest, pride couldn't attack when you played the treefolk umbra because he has defender
He was allowed to because he activated The Pride Of Hull Clades ability which allows creatures with defender to attack.
@@ColsonMcAdamsno he didn't. Just watched that part again. He only paid mana to play the umbra. He didn't pay mana for the ability. He didn't have mana to do both.
I’m building this too and thought I might mention some goofy additions like Geralf Visionary stitcher, metamorphosis, spell swindle, access denied, Mana drain and mystic genesis. And obviously food chain breaks the card if you are moving away from a more casual list
Geralf sounds super funny in this list!
New to magic, how are you able to run blues in this deck with a green commander? Is it because his text includes blues?
yup you need blue to activate ability so instantly makes it a simic deck and u can use blue freely
There is a misplay at 9:50
You should not have drawn 17 cards because you didnt use your commanders activated ability, which only lasts until end of turn and you didnt have enough mana after casting the enchantment.
I believe cards like Training Grounds or cards that let play more lands per turn are really good, because keeping 4 mana up for the ability is pretty expensive for a turn 5, 6 or 7.
I've always loved wall of ice. One of my first cards. Can't wait to use it again

Side note: on the second combat in your video, you drew the 17 cards, but i think you didnt pay for the activation cost, so you wouldnt have drawn that turn. Let me know if I am missing something about that activation?

Surprised to not see Axebane Guardian in this deck. Yeah it's nit a big butt but it makes mana of any color equal to the number of defender creatures you control so seems good for me
Another fun card is floodgate ;) Blue board wipe and it is a wall/defender!
I was going to ask how did he turn this into a simic deck when Hull Claude is mono green?

I'd drop the land ramp and instead use mana dorks. A 1 mana dork counts for 2 mana when casting your commander.
hold on wait what? paying four mana only gives him +1/+0, it doesn't make him do damage according to his toughness does it?

isnt it just a trigger for each time the card draw ability activates and not for each card drawn (that would be broken af)?
@MrVitola69 it is every time you draw. Otherwise it is when you draw one or more cards. The trigger is activated each draw

@MrVitola69 yeah and if you have unlimited hand size, he can be much bigger than other pieces. Also with Teferi's Ageless Insight you could double the number of triggers
I have a question, why arcane denial is played so much? I think it's a pretty bad card tbh, am I missing something?
It’s a cheap spell that replaces both the spell itself in your hand and the spell the opponent is casting through card draw, the downside being they get an extra card. I think the main reason the drawback exists is because they made the card have only one blue pip, making it much easier to cast in multicolor decks.
@@VandreadMasterX you are correct. Also, it counters ANY spell, not just non-creature.

Seems like you're assuming the creatures hit with their toughness. This isnt the case.
Idk how you got that from the list. I put cards in the deck that allow us to assign combat damage with toughness instead of power.
As much as this deck looks fun this card I find better in the 99 of Arcades, the Strategist he fits in there too well.
Broken implies to me that it's a horrible design mistake that should've never been printed. It will either pubstomp all casual decks or be a top tier cEDH staple. I don't think this is any of these things. Looks fun though.
Might build it turtle tribal style. There's some cool tech like Ride the Avalance, Energy Tap, Metamorphosis and Tangleweave Armor here.
Please don't go down that road of clickbait title cards. You are above that.

He's essentially a VERY toned down Arcades.
No access to white...
No inherent 'damage equal to toughness' boost (need to FIND and play something like Assault Formation).
Need to PAY for the card draw AND be able to get the creature through for combat damage (which also means you need to have a haste enabler out OR wait until the turn after you drop The Pride of Hull Clade).
He can potentially draw you a lot of cards.... but blue can already do that anyway.
He's not bad but Arcades just does this better... and Arcades isn't exactly 'broken' himself.

And why are you acting like Green struggles to get combat damage through?
