So I tried frontline Turtle build today and it was just out of this world Poggers and I realized its because the turtle is just straight a broken pet so enjoy!
There Probably Gonna nerf this in the Next Super Auto Pets Balance Patch!

9:57 TAKE THE SKUNK legit would do way more than a badger at this point. Does a free 17 damage to their strongest unit assuming that unit has 50 health. And your leopard would have done 10 damage to two enemies (20 total because it attacks 2 enemies for 50% of its attack, twice) at level two so in terms of pure damage its way better than the croc but i can understanding wanting to have a 5 man team.
It's not always just about raw damage output. In this case bringing the strongest enemy pet down to 33 health doesn't make much of a difference. The turtle would have one shotted it at 50 health as well and the fish won't be able to take down a 33 health unit in a single hit. If that enemy pet is still around after the turtle and fish are gone he's not winning the game anyway.
Also you have to spot your weaknesses. This build is more likely to lose to a summoner build. And against that build a skunk probably doesn't do a lot of damage. The crocodile however could take out a turkey, tiger or fly on the first round.
Upgrading the leopard is a worse choice because it only adds 10 more damage at the start of the battle where the crocodile adds 8 damage at the start, brings 8/4 in stats to your whole team and adds another pet to your team.
In the last match an upgraded leopard best case would have drawn the game and potentially it would have been a loss. With a skunk it would have been a definite loss. He did get really lucky though that the leopard hit the otter at the back, otherwise that pet survives with 1 health, will get the melon armor and he is losing the match. This had a 80% chance of resulting in a loss.

What goes well with a level 3 turtle is a side of microbe -- You get your melons and the opponent gets weakness.

That's actually a good point... It's a timed melon. (Not just any melons)
(Btw, there's no point keeping a swan at the back if it deals so much damage after getting accidental buffs)

I know exactly what you mean. While I wasn't even what I consider to be a very good player, seemingly overnight it felt like I had turned into the absolute worst player. I went from the odd win to the odd lvl 6 failure with zero trophies. Never lost nearly that badly before. There's a youtuber I honestly blocked because he called players who were claiming that the game was too hard Super Auto Loosers not long after this. People complained because suddenly the game became a metric f-ton harder. The guy has wracked up tens of thousands of points and he's saying it's easy. Not everyone can devote a career to thousands of hours of nonstop gameplay. Experience like that is hard to beat and it just left a really bad taste in my mouth.
I want to agree with you on the skill based matchmaking. There is no way people just magically got so good so quickly.
Out of the 11 wins I've gotten so far, a good 5 have a shredded turtle in the team. Glad you approve

I think yes they added a scaling system because the only times that i meet 50/50 in turn 15 are when i have a 50/50 (if you're wondering my team was bison.monkey.penguin.swan.dolphin i got the bison and penguin and dolphin from the fish strat)
