When I was 16 ( 1973 ) I had a 69 GP Model J. I'm 61 now and have owned over 100 cars. That 69 Grand Prix is STILL my all time favorite. I drive a 2015 Charger R/T currently and it is second runner up. That 70 is super fine !
Nice car, Had a 1972 Gold GP that i bought in 1982 after graduated from highschool,it took me thru college, got my 1st well paying job after college and sold it for a 1987 Buick Grand National. I did not make the same mistake twice i still own the Buick Grand National 38,000 miles and some engine bolt ons. To bad no more Pontiacs!!
I owned a 1972 grand prix SJ model black I bought it in 1989 for $200 from the original own that was Kim Morris playboy playmate March 1986 I was working at a chevron station in Lake Arrowhead Ca. she came in for full service all the time then one day she was in a new jeep and told me the key was stuck and would not start or come out on the grand prix and it was about to be towed she asked if I would be interested and buying it and because I was always so nice and had told her I loved that car she said its yours is 200 ok or what can you afford I said 200 can I bring it by your place after work well long story short that was one of the greatest day's of my life the worst was when Az. forced me to sale the car because after 41 tickets in 1 month they felt it was the car but it was Meeee lol
That is the best 1970 GP I've seen for sale. Wish I could have bought it, missed that one. How do you gas these old cars before unleaded gas and cat converters ?? How does one run them on unleaded gas these days ?? Do you have to go to somewhere like AutoZone and buy a lead additive and if so, how long will that be around before they outlaw it like the original air conditioning freon ? I assume the old compressors wold have to be replaced to use the new coolant as well ? Thanks for the great cars. CHEERS.
I own a 70 J GP is my 3rd one I love them to the Moon and back!
