Unusually, Nasal sound seems to echo predominantly, especially, during the rendition of the Viruththam portion. Viruththam rendered in Nattakurunji, Poorvikalyani & Aabogi.
This comment is inappropriate, this is being unusually critical for no reason almost like a troll. I thought the rendition was perfect, I would not change it, I listen all tge time to Semmangudi sir, he has the most nasal sounds of all carnatic artists, yet delivers brisk alaapana, neraval and swarams in almost all his songs, and was historically one of the best carnatic artists.

I am not a critique and nor inclined to do that deliberately with any motive to offend any one. In fact, I have been an admirer of their music and listening to their albums @ regular intervals - as and when time permits. I have very great regards for them. U can see my sample postings to RaGa's exemplary rendition of SaravaNa Bhava Guhane Shanmuga, Govardhana Geerisham, Rangapura Vihara, and this list has been stretching further only (all on positive note only). (Incidentally, my comment for the above particular Viruthams has been endorsed by 2 more persons). I am very sorry if my comments did hurt U. But, it's not fair on my part to remove it now as doing it so will only question my honesty and conviction. Hope, U appreciate my predicament.

Justified thought, @Subhashini Madhavan ma'am. Neelambari is almost a perfect graha bhedam of the raga Nattakurinji. The phrase NDPDNDM of Nattakurinji might have sounded like MGRGMGS of Neelambari. What makes it Nattakurinji is the shruti that is playing in the background. It corresponds to shadjam of Nattakurinji (which again is the panchamam of Neelambari).
