    If you tried to have one of these flying greenhouses in Arizona you'd get cooked before you could get up to cooler air.

      Shading can help as well as lots of air circulation

      The cooling system works great though. When up in the air (already just after take-off) with a bit more speed the ventilation cools it down quickly in the cockpit. On cruising speed I tend to have the ball vents partly closed because I don't need the air stream it can provide. However, during taxiing it heats up fast. Taxiing with the canopy a bit open is much better and with higher temperatures that's what I do taxiing to the runway and just after leaving the runway with higher temperatures. The views on the other hand with that much (3m2) fully transparent canopy without interuption from a bar or so is fantastic and very much worth it for me.

    How did they get a 915 Turbo under the Hood?

  • @hansroemerszoonvanderbrikk7626

    il fatto è che questo sembra avere una marcia in più sotto tutti i profili, prestante, elegante, tecnologico, manca solo una versione motorizzata italiana e si potrebbe spendere un bel "100% made in Italy" per promuoverlo

    yeah easily the best light sport plane in the world yet only 29 in the entire world of them. That's a shame.
    It's great but we need the production to be optimized so it can become much cheaper and thousands can be sold. The fuselage could be made in one single piece for instance. And the carbon fiber in such a plane is only around 6k$. There is great potential for optimization.
    Also imagine how great it would be if it had two little jet engines and was pressurized and could fly twice as fast, 3 times as high and with the same fuel economy. Imagine how smooth it would be without the tractor in the nose. And how light it could be. Jet engines for this size plane should only weigh around 15kg each. And you would have redundant engines for flying over water.

      @@DanFrederiksen and why don’t you understand that the slightest modifications on the engine (Jets) request a new airframe, new wings, new canopy, new landing gear, new, new.
      I have a engine parts business and design airplanes. Good night genius 🥂

    • @DanFrederiksen
      @DanFrederiksen Рік тому

      @@tinolino58 hehe of course a jet version would be a different plane. to really take advantage of a jet engine it would need to be pressurized as well. A wing for double speed would also be very different. Skinny like a razor blade.

    That airframe is just crying out for full electrification and will just get better as batteries improve

    • @solartime8983
      @solartime8983 Рік тому

      Yes! Too bad they put initial R&Deffort & money into noisy, smelly I.C.E. propulsion system ...& worst increasing fuel/ higher MX operating cost which is now lot more expensive than Electric 🌅

    • @PatrickDuffy-u3s
      @PatrickDuffy-u3s 11 місяців тому

      Electric cars are junk and still have nowhere near the usable range of fuel cars. The energy density of fuel vs. batteries will never be achieved no matter how much 'better' they get. The power to weight ratio gets better with fuel usage, but with batteries it's fixed. I've been flying RC for years and not a single battery powered hobby model can even come close to the flight time of fuel models. Electric cars are toys for the wealthy to feel good about themselves driving around their skyscraper cities. Perhaps these toy airplanes are the same. You are living in a delusion if you think private aviation will ever see battery-powered planes make it into the mainstream.

    It would be great if the volume sold could justify the carbon frames and wings being printed by mutijet fusion printing rather than having to be hand laid
