Came here to say exactly this. At a certain point, if you don't keep your quickness and agility, it becomes a hindrance. When I played ball the kids who were freakishly tall, like 6'3 or so in 6th/7th grade were the ones who struggled.. everyone told them they should play basketball, so they do, and usually they aren't very good at it. Some of them grow up playing and have more natural skill, most of them not. It's usually the kids who are either consistently pretty tall, but never EXTREMELY, or the kids who start out short and then grow a foot one summer and keep all their small guy skills. Height is definitely an advantage in some areas, and moreso the way basketball used to be played. When I was a kid, it was probably the first thing people looked at. It can also be a detriment, especially now.
I don't know what gives you the idea that b1ack players work harder than other players. You think b1ack players were harder than as1an players? Give me a break. The reason most of the NBA is b1ack is athleticism, period.
I think it'd be cool to check out "The Giant Kid Who Could Change The NBA Forever" Victor Wembanyama is another freakishly tall NBA player, and probably going to go down as one of the best tall nba players in history, but questions y'all may have regarding tall players is discussed and explained in that video while also highlighting victor's skills.
You evidently have not heard of, or watched Larry Legend. AKA Larry Bird. One of the Best, or arguably the best basketball player in history. The white player who with Magic Johnson, saved the game of basketball. You seriously, really should react to some Larry Bird videos. He was also the biggest trash talker in the game. With the moves, and the skill to back it up.😀
"Let's be honest, all the top basketballers are African-American or of African descent." Hahaha. Bird, Jokic, Stockton, Nowitzki, Maravich, Doncic, West, Nash, Mullins, Williams, etc., etc..
The top 2 players in the history of the NBA that cracked the 7 foot mark, are Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. They are both among the top 5 players in the history of the league along with Jordan, Bird and Magic.
At that height either too skinny or too thick and slow. I was thinking…Kareem Abdul Jabbar was prob best tall man ever. 7’2” and some say greatest player ever definitely top 3 or4.
You guys should ready to men with pans from America’s got talent because it shows how crazy Americans can be! React to the one that’s 4:21 long or 2:18 long
This has nothing to do with this Vid. I was watching another vid that was about NFL freaks of nature and you asked about a game to go to and who to root for. This year, 2024, the Chicago Bears play in London on Oct. 13. You"ll be wise to root for the Bears as they're going to be a very exciting team to watch this year!!
Height definitely helps, and you have to be a certain height to really even have a chance, but especially today, being freakishly taller than the other players isn't as much of an advantage I would say. Unless you keep all of the quickness and agility you had as a shorter man, it can become a hindrance fast. I would take a 6'9 guy who gets off the floor fast, jumps super high, and is completely comfortable and relaxed in his body over someone 3 inches too tall who moves like they have knives in their knees. Every now and then you get someone who has both qualities, but it's rare. Victor Wembanyama of the Spurs is so highly touted for that reason. His combination of height and small man skills is unmatched. Love your channel, you guys are just cool to hang with. Fats always understands Americans especially our sports stars and why they do certain things. Very smart. Also height is definitely an advantage blocking shots, again but not quite as much as you would think. It's just as much about anticipation and effort, a lot of guys who are tall block very few shots. And some small guys block a lot. Just depends.
95% of NBA players are in the NBA because of their height. It doesn't mean they don't have skills, but there are many equally or more skilled players that never make the NBA due to their lack of height.
That’s weird this dude said Mexico State and not New Mexico State completely different understandings to a casual basketball viewer fix that next time my guy
I like how you just brushed off Bradley's college record like 14 blocks is just something that happens all the time. Just watch the video and stick to knowing soccer because this whole take was garbage.
When you’re that tall it’s harder to move and keep up with the guys that are a lot quicker, it can be a blessing and a curse
Very true. Tall people also tend to have shorter lifespans... sometimes by decades. Their heart needs to work overtime pumping blood long distances.

Rest in peace Manute Bol
I used to go to Warrior games when he played. He would chunk up 3 pointers. When they would go in, people went nuts.
Victor Wembanyama is 7'5" and just won rookie of the year. A generational talent.
I’m surprised to not see Mark Eaton on this list. He was easily a legit 7’4 center. Maybe 7’5 with shoes and at least as tall as Boban
There's a Chinese 17 year old female Zhang Ziyu 7'5 and then there's Olivier Rioux 7'9. Ming coaches the 17 year old Chinese girl.
Shawn Bradley is now a quadriplegic after a bicycle accident
React to Victor Wembanyama highlights
Wasn't last year part of the history of the game?

You have to understand that "should, could, and would" isn't what is
It’s hard to defend his lateral movement the guys that are quicker blow by him

Slow down on best ever talk. He's only played one year.
You've GOT to check out Wilt Chamberlain! Height, skill, intelligence, strength, endurance...

but he's wh1te so he must not work as hard as the b1ack players like Tacko Fall. He's really dark so that means he works extra hard.
"Let's be honest, all the top basketballers are African-American or of African descent." Hahaha. Bird, Jokic, Stockton, Nowitzki, Maravich, Doncic, West, Nash, Mullins, Williams, etc., etc..
Mugsy Bogues was like 5’3” and was in Space Jams
Lower leg injuries are common with people that tall.
Spud Webb played in the 80s
5ft 6”
He was an All Star
Dunk contest winner
He was only at the all star game for the dunk.contest.
05:26 Getting dunked on is known as getting posterized. That's the reason he is the poster boy of getting posterized. He got dunked on A LOT.
You should check out Paul Sturgess a 7 ft 8-in center for the Harlem Globetrotters.
It takes more than being tall to he a good shot blocker.

Shaq and David Robinson were right there two. Although Hakeem was listed as 7 foot, I can't go with that, lol.
Only player on this list worth a fuck was Yao. Yao was a beast in his prime, just couldnt stay healthy.
Centers don't get to hang around the rim, the NBA plays Man to man defense, no zone defense allowed ,players must move in and out of the paint
They’ve started playing zone defense in recent years because of some rule changes. But, it’s still primarily man to man defense.
Guys at that extreme usually have mobility issues.... even the super skilled boys like Sabonis
Do tallest female players. Zheng Yuyi is 7'3" 17yo
When there that tall a lot of them have health problems
Tacko needs to eat more tacos.
I really don’t mean to be the one, but Tacko Fall is quite possible one of the worst basketball players I’ve ever seen😭 he’s not good at all
“Worst” is a stretch
Look up Victor Wembanyama
Shaq is the Goat big man 🤘🤘
Please do American Civil War oversimplified 😊
At that height either too skinny or too thick and slow. I was thinking…Kareem Abdul Jabbar was prob best tall man ever. 7’2” and some say greatest player ever definitely top 3 or4.
I think when Kareem was originally listed as 7'3" was a more accurate height relative to other players, since everyone added an inch.
Y’all should react to “will anyone break lebrons scoring record”
Boban vs John Wick
Come on man the 2 most productive players on this list Ming and Mirroson weren’t even black and you acting like only the black guys were good
You guys should ready to men with pans from America’s got talent because it shows how crazy Americans can be! React to the one that’s 4:21 long or 2:18 long

Mugsy Bogues
Caitlin Clark
Dont ignore popular thing in USA if you do this youtube job
Mugsy Bogues
Most these players can barely move and are injury prone. So that's why they can't last in the nba.

The Chinese government purposely bred Yao to be a tall basketball player
Basketball and soccer arevthe 2 worse sports in the world
Gotta watch “My Giant”…it’s actually probably a terrible movie. Seeing Gheorge Muresan highlights just reminded me of it.
