A lonely awkward nerd with low-key peak rizz loses his balls, finds a girl , then another girl then competition for the girl he actually likes ....then an alien girl ......then a nerdy friend like himself.....it goes on but y'all get it 👀.
Yeah really a wholesome where after the end of every crazy adventure, the Gamg welcome a new member into their crazy little group. It’s like in the finale of Chainsaw Man Season 1 where Aki, Denji and Power having a small dinner celebration
@@ShonenOuji I said that as a joke, but... I _did_ mean it 100% seriously lol. Both have a lot of emphasis on... _pretty down-to-earth_ characters that keep ending up in normal problems with absurd solutions, absurd situations that have some core of normality to them (like Mr Shrimp), all of which are given just as much focus as the day-to-day of their lives.
Right when you mentioned Dandadan being normal and weird with special moments I was about to start typing to talk about Araki and Jojo when you brought'em up yourself and I'm glad seeing someone else talk about it because I also feel like Dandadan and Jojo have A LOT in common and that's not even talking about the absurdities and bizarreness that both manga/anime have, but their author's approach on how to write their story, characters and the interactions between them. For example, the cow scene that you said in the end of the video I'm like 99% sure is what modeled the whole Mr. Shrimp's interaction with the gang. Cow abduction is one of, if not the biggest, common tropes associated with aliens, so the author probably thought "hey that's cool, I should add this to my story" and then worked his way backwards to tie in the Mr. Shrimp's race blood with cow milk (which I also think is what happened in the prior episode with him wanting to do the almost fully naked hugging in the school hallway with Okarun and Momo in front of everyone being the reason the floor became ̶l̶a̶v̶a̶ water). This also happens quite a lot on Jojo's end, with Araki wanting to do a Freddy Krueger like fight, so he comes up with a baby with stand power that can attack you on your dreams; he likes and wants to do something related to Formula 1 car, so he comes up with an enemy that can make you play a videogame deathmatch racing; he wants to talk about the feeling of uncertainty when going into a new restaurant, so he makes a chef that looks suspiciously evil until the very end, but is just a regular dude; etc. What I'm trying to say is that both Araki and Tatsu write the stories however they want. I mean, not that other mangakas are forced into writing manga or anything, but these both write their stories with less plot pressure and more emphasis on character relations and how they are going to handle a specific set situation that the author thinks is cool and wants to draw.
It feels like the characters where writen by a bunch of school kids. And I mean it in a good way. Like the scene where Momo and okarun were not able to find each other at school and they had this inner monolog about their own flaws. Just for them to go back to their usual self was perfect. Or like: " What if you saw someone talking sh$$ about your friend?" *I wanna drop something REALLY heavy on them*
Dandadan reminds me in someways of the Legendary Rumiko Takahashi's first big manga Urusei Yatsura in that it is a love story set against the backdrop of an insane world full of weirdos, Aliens, Yokai and Yokai that are aliens.
Honestly this might be the First anime where I was immediately hooked into reading as much of the current manga as I could. Reading it on the Shonen Jump app. Next to Frieren as well.
Speaking of family it's odd that even in the manga so far there has been absolutely zero mention of okarun's family in any form. We learn a bit about momo, aira, and jiji's families but there's not a single word about anyone in okarun's family.
How would you summarize Dandadan? What are some of your favorite moments?
ball jokes and PEAK romantic

Peak
Trope busting mashup.
And weirdly, Japanese Terry Pratchett.
Seiko‘s dinners are always so heartwarming at the end of an adventure
They're some of my favorite scenes.
And she always tells everyone to eat their fill
i always say dandadan is a harem anime where seiko is the mc.

Desire, emotion, and knowledge is what I describe from this series
Dandadan is too bizare of an adventure to be called normal
Seiko’s dinners always seem to remind of the Chainsaw Season 1 finale ending where Aki, Power and Denji were having a dinner together.

Bruh I’m a combo of Gigi & okarun
I think most guys are. We make our friends laugh, but we feel insecure a lot of the time.
