- Guana Batz - Still Sweatin After All These Years
01 King Rat
Arguably the most popular band of the 80s psychobilly scene, the Guana Batz were beyond a doubt the most impressive live act on the circuit. Formed in Feltham, Middlesex in 1983 the band underwent several changes through the 80s but always maintained their high standard of live performance, becoming the number one headline act at many psychobilly festivals (an honour that still occurs throughout Europe today) and playing to packed houses on a regular basis. Their Klub Foot gigs are the stuff of legend, selling out every time and guaranteeing rain within the venue when condensation levels became virtually stifling.
Still Sweating was recorded at the Klub Foot in 1986 and at Nottingham Palais in 1984. The disc includes seven previously unreleased tracks.

Hi Matilda, I first saw your dad at Feltham Football Club when he was in the Ricochets in 1982 supporting Screaming Lord Sutch.... he's a been a legend on the scene ever since!
Remember going to see them after I'd been drinking with the Wrecking Crew. Respect dudes.

My eldest son was wondering how to survive the 'mosh pit'. From my memories of stumping at the Klub Foot it was to stay on your feet and wear steel toe-capped boots. Guanabatz was my favourite band and great to hear that Pip is still going over in the U.S. Other fond memories include Frenzy, Highliners, Meteors, Restless and the flour nights associated with King Kurt.
+Katherine Aiton son don't go into the mosh pit.rule 1.
+Chris Conteh KING KURT.owend the klubfoot.
Katherine Aiton I got to meet Pip and was pretty cool. dude is a lot older now and actually pretty quiet, nice guy though. his son goes to the same art class as me and honestly you can't even tell that they're related.
In Glasgow no one out stomped us, batz, Meteors, even had PP Fenech fight along side us with a bat in Wishaw. Balls the size of Al Capone steel toe caps or creepers no one pushed us around . Wreckin Crew 100% Supported Meteors in 85 speed and weed and stomping. No law but the KATTLE, sang Soldiers song on stage with batz they thought Scotland was nuts . All true.
Balls like Al Capone and dont give a fuck! After we took to floor to stomp? WELL Not many still were there at end. HAD TO BE TOUGH! Glasgow psycobillies didnt fuck about. Wreckin Crew.
Met Pip in a bike shop a few years ago in SoCal. Never heard of him. Chatted for a good while. Nice down to earth guy.

The band The Cellmates opened for them? Anybody knows anything about them? Any videos?
Sang Soldiers Song on stage with them! They thought we were nuts at Ayr. Happy Days. Meteors more my cup of cha at time but Batz rocked too.
Ayr in Scotland?
@@francisbegbie3326 Aye Franco sure was . On stage speed a plenty in a hotel i believe called The Roblin , i had scored hash there before off some posh twat his Da owned it. In function room upstairs. I remember it as we had dodgy tickets and got about 20 in. Happy Days, saw the Meteors in Ayr too. In fact i supported them.
@@delstrain8590 Fantastic mate got to keep the Ayrshire punks alive! Hash - those were the days! Can't wait for the gigs again
@@delstrain8590 20 on one ticket? Love it mate
@@francisbegbie3326 We printed one ticket about 40 times in Gateway centre , but some other gig that night in Ayrshire had packed out, was sparse crowd. We saw Godfathers there and ended up fighting them. I still go see Sham-SLF-Adicts to name a few and Vice Squad, this has fucked up Rumjacks and Skids. I call me para doubt we ever getting freedom back. hope im wrang.
No mosh pit like a psychobilly mosh pit.
