  • Motorcity/BTuff came down to do their annual Veteran's Day tournament at Pineflat. We were fortunate to win last year with 1st place. This year was a total different bite than last year's event. Prefish days were extremely brutal but on the last 2 days of prefish, I found something! Watch to see how we got these little green fishes to go! Lots of fish caught, lots of small fish culls, but it was enough to secure 1st place this year! Back to back wins. Thanks to Motorcity/BTuff for hosting such an amazing event. Thanks to my partner Kong Moua for smacking em too! Also, check out 559FresnoBaitAndTackle for all your tackle needs! He has em all! Thanks for watching!!

I’m pretty sure Kong did have a stick…initially. The late, great Aaron Martens taught me especially with deep tournaments, a jig or spoon that at first is stuck on a branch will very often become a big fish once it pops free. Bass are like cats, he would say, they will watch something struggle and when they think it will escape, they attack. I personally have caught several large fish this way.

Deep ones usually do. We had to fizz the large mouth but the rest of the fishes were upright all day long 😁
