At the start of that year she was moved to a secret location because she was getting kidnapping threats sent to her house and then she received death threats from someone saying they were going to kill her the night of the Brits, she was rushed off stage during rehearsals because a red dot resembling a laser on a gun was pointed at her chest and a back door at the venue was lodged open with force. Being on stage, especially for that long, must have been terrifying for her.
If there's one thing to say about these girls, its that they're hardworking troopers. They understood the industry, weren't lazy and deserved all the good rewards they reaped-from busting into record studios as unknows, to today. This video never gets old. Wish higher resolutions would surface, though. Otherwise, huge thanks to MillieSpice as always.

The night we knew it was just about over in my opinion. Im a 90's baby, And was a Spiceboy like so many and grew up with the Spice Girls, I still remember the day Geri left and so many people saying it was a matter of time before Spice World folded. They where right she was the glue like it or not 🙈. Glad they acknowledged it even though things where bitter at that time and all the denial of breaking up made it more obvious it was coming. But they came back and Spice boys and Girls rejoiced and could be kids again. They where great, im still a Spiceboy at heart 👏🏻😁🥳
They had something other girls groups didn’t have, each of them were unique individuals but blended in as one they worked hard to become a successful girl group
They performed the best ive ever seen them perform live. And they did it without Geri. I can tell they knew the outcome at this point and put in their best performance to go out on a high. I loved them. Mel B was always my favourite.

Geri wasn’t the glue. The group only worked with all of them present. If Mel B left then the group wouldn’t work. Same for Mel C and Victoria and Emma. The group worked because each of them carried each other’s vocals and what one spice girl lacked, the other didn’t. Point is, the Spice Girls need 1 more album before they are no longer able to sing. All of them need to come back for 1 album! Even if they don’t make music videos or tour, just an album please.

Plus the record company proposed solo offers so quick....Virgin could have said first tour with Forever album and then the solo albums but instead they proposed the offer shortly after this release. Perhaps they had a contract for 3 albums and after that they stopped...they came back thankfully!!

They stopped promo and didnt care anymore for the album. In 2001, they were over as a band. I know it's weird. Early 2000, they were still celebrated at the Brit awards, getting this special award. But less than 1 year later, they vanished... Imo They should've released the single and album in early 2000 but at that time Mel C focused on her debut..
