Watch the exhaust under constant load, you've got a misfire there. I did 5 months of load-banking from 45 kVA up to 2 MVA critical plant. Some would take the first hour of four, before running clear on all cylinders.
Cool to see a load rating...those big boxes at the end of the generator are the restive load banks...pulling a HUGE amount of current...that engine is running at rated load...very cool!
Was there something wrong with the battery manager? They still seemed to be taking a charge, after several minutes that cant be right can it? Apart from that it was a very impressive machine
For backup power you mean? It would depend on what is in the building and deemed "essential".. I am an electrician at a large hospital, what do you wish to know? lol
For an hospital,,you may do an electrical balance,,,the min power,,,the middle and the maximum,,,and the peak power,,,with elevators srart and run,,,,water pumps ,,,air conditioned,,etc,,,in my experience,,,,50% more power than the maximum,,,if the hospital needs 1000kva,maximum,,the gen may be at least 1500 kva,,,for running well and continuous,,without overheating...
David Eddington, very good gens,,,and frequency stability!!

Perkins engine
Take a look to the fuel canister, 15-20 ltr. of diesel was consumed, during this load test
at 4:04 guy was refilling the 5 gallon bucket from the larger container...I'm sure this generator was chugging the fuel at rated load...
Listen the turbo,,,at huge loads this engine is turbo intercooler,,,see the pipes from the intercooler to the turbo intake.

Mine used to bog down when I put the kettle on.
1,5 MVA Great video me like that
that is a ludicrous amount of current!
gerador muito showw
Good
the huge load resistors are fan cooled,,,i see a radiator,,may be water cooled too.
In three phase 400 vca 1 kva=1,5 amp /phase but in USA uses 3x208vca then 1 kva=4,5 amp /phase.
Full load? wow
That's a Dorman 12SET?
Man where's the smoke? when I load bank 1megs or higher we get some smoke at least for a sec lol
It looks like it consumed about a gallon of diesel in 6 minutes. I'm I wrong.
20 amp kicker
1:42=1337
would this be enough to run a large hospital? how many KVA would be needed for that?

REWYRED: honestly I have no idea why I asked that question. lol. it was a year ago.

Reality check sulfur window adoption qboard.
220-
400
volt ???
what is the decimal value of your surroundings?
3.2
How much noise does this produce?
More than 100 db at 2 meters,,,if the enclosure is model "silent" 50 db with a good silencer,,,here isn"t instalated.
Yes
No makes high noise,,,this gen hasnt silencer.
for that size engine it is consuming too much fuel think. modern and hybrid.
