Am I the only one who actually likes this guy? He's a lot of fun and the amounts of things Mainframe can do is cool. Yes he needs a big gun or something but I personally like it.

I honestly don't get why people hate this guy, I absolutely love him. The lack of hand articulation is disappointing and the gaps are odd, but I love the references packed into it and it was a cool way to get teletrann 1

Just a tip for ya, covering those pesky panels at the front of the ship which like to pop off (I know because I have the Ark as well). If you push down on the top side of the ship where the panels are located, it'll give you better clearance to grab the tabs and pull them down until you have 'just' enough clearance to open the top of the ship to reveal Mainframe (a.k.a the bridge/Teletraan-1) without the panels popping off the hinges. I personally think they should have had those panels on pins rather then friction points, but that would have probably inflated the already disgusting price of the figure lol
The only reason I’d get one is if they retooled it for Generations Selects as Animated Omega Supreme. I may get the Nemesis if that’s the Titan coming for Legacy. Especially if they make it Trypticon. But I don’t think it will be.
A nemesis ship would be awesome I personally think the head design should look exactly like Tarn or Soundwave because the decepticon logo was based on Soundwave’s head.

Funny story I got mine from universal studios and they couldn’t put it in a giant bag so they had to wrap it up it was ridiculously hard to carry around after a while I think I paid like 150 us and my experience with it was awful but the toy it’s not that bad it’s actually pretty good
You summarized the community’s indifference with this figure within the first minute. Since the Ark isn’t an established transformer, it’s a hard sell for a Titan Class, compared to the more iconic ones like Fortress Maximus, Trypticon, or Scorpanok
That big spike on the back of the ark is hollow, which is a big oversight because this thing looks great from the rear. I can see people displaying it backwards because that’s how we see it in the show but that hollow spot ruins the whole thing. You can see what I’m talking about at around 11:44
the ark is super awesome. granted, it could have used a lot of paint, but the toyhax set made it look insane. also, teletran is a sick figure. again, toyhax made it shine, but i love both it's modes and the old school ninja turtles-like backpack where you can stash all his stuff (remember those turtles figures where the shells opened up and you could put all the weapons & shit inside? i loved those).
I have this guy in ship mode with some upgrades applied to him that gives him some extra firepower, I got him more for the ship mode than anything else, thou with Teletran one I think he should of been bigger so that interacting with other figures in computer mode looks better!!
Regarding omega, he does have 3 modes he just pulls double duty in alt mode as a base mode too. Also pop out mainframe and plop a few cores in the hollow cavity with ark in ship mode and it makes a nice playset.
I like it. It is as close as you can get to an actual Autobot Ark. It also resembles the Last Autobot from the G1 Marvel comics in robot mode, there's also the classic Teletraan-1 computer, from the internal Mainframe robot, who also is an incredible robot, because the previous version of that character was in the G1 non-transforming Action Masters line. Sure, the hands are a little wonky and awkward, and the gun turrets don't move, and there are some gaps in the spaceship mode. But I don't mind them because they add character to the spaceship, and the upper legs that are visible look like they are tubes connected to the engines.
I just love this guy regardless of its 'faults', I think the Ark is awesome. Would have preferred if he had come with a Transformer that turned into his weapon as well as Mainframe but is that not what the C.O.M.B.A.T is for? And a little imagination? Mainframe will have bellbottoms as he is a star sailor!!!! In the UK the Arks' been about £90 to £80 for six months or so, if you can get him?
I love this guy. My first Titan I picked up for £100 you're getting a freaken transforming teletraan 1 . On top of the ark . ( or in this case inside it)The Autobot satellite from the pilot and 2 Golden discs. And end of the day it's the ark. Who wouldn't want it in their collection
Fantastic review That Toy Guy!!! I enjoy the fact that the Ark's robot mode is based on the comic character "The Last Autobot." (a.k.a. Autonomous Maximus) :D I kind of created a third mode for this figure I call "hibernation/statue mode." lol Its just a the name I came up for when I transform the Ark to store back inside its box, the head is placed inside the Ark's jet nose, and the legs are bent at the knees and turned sideways. Keep on being amazing.
Hypothetically, imagine if this transformer had AMAZING lore, just enough of an attitude, great leadership without stepping over other authorities (figuratively), knows what he's good at and is respected, loved, and able to make others feel like their at home. And this was his toy version, and not only do you find out you were the only one to pay full price for him he was on the shelf long after the other "titans" released with him were sold out and maybe one other person in your area had a copy but it was only for their collection.
The Ark was one of those starships I always wanted a model or toy of and never expected to get it. Right up there with the Macross/SDF-1 from Macross/Robotech. Because of that, I'm probably a bit more willing to overlook the faults of the figure for the sake of having a decently sized version of the ship. That said, I did wait for the price to drop significantly before picking one up. I may be nostalgic, but there's no way I'm paying 200 bucks for a single toy... Probably unintentionally lying about that, now that I think about it.
As someone who is as much of a transformers fan as a power rangers fan, from my experience, I pose it like how I do megazords, cause that's basically what it is to me. I don't need to have a lot of articulation when it comes to something this big. All it needs to do is go from one mode to the next, and stand there looking awesome and imposing. Just my two cents tho

I think they should have named the Titan ARK Tela-Tran as in the computer and that would’ve been him talking through the computer while being in Ark form.
I was just thinking with the new Autobot Bridge accessory scene and the Voyagers could they interact with The Ark. And its Micromasters. The scale needed to much bigger than this!
I only bought this at £90 (146.24 CAD) last year new but only got it for Ark mode. It’s still in the box due to lack of space for it and the upgrade kit from DNA will eventually be attached when it’s out.
I got the Ark at the beginning of the year in February with my birthday money, and i love it. I have wanted a titan class figure for so long, and the other figures options I did not really want. At the time, the choices were Omega Supreme, which was $300, Scorpinok ( Don't think I spelled it right) witch did not appeal to me. The way I buy figures are not based on the robot mode, but on vehicle mode, and I don't want a bace or a giant scorpion, so the Ark was the most exciting for me. That is the wasy I buy my Transformers, rather on the alt mode than the robot, and i prefer the most normal and unique alt mode. I'm talking like a suv or a Ford F150 or something you would see every day. I mean. There robots in disguise, and a big robotic dinosaur is not going to do that. This is just my opinion, I know that people are different, that is the way God made us. Thanks for reading this long comment.

My Ark has the same Shoulder Ratchet problem but reversed. As he was the first Titan i bought when i got back into Transformers i'm a little biased toward him but i agree he could have so easily been improved, A Ball Joint for his head, Light Piping, A BIG weapon, Better Articulation and (In my opinion) Thos little turrets should spin
If he was painted black with little bits of red and a missile pod was put on his shoulder, he would look a bit like Adam Smasher from cyberpunk 2077. I think that would be awesome.
Hey man, first of all, great content. Second, I'd like to know if you could answer a question for me. Around the 7:30 minute mark, you talk about the Ark's shoulders exploding. So I grabbed my own figure off the shelf, took a listen and indeed, its right shoulder sounded quite scary. I opened it up to see if there was anything I could do about it, just to find a gear and a tooth that formed the ratchet joint. I'm afraid I don't understand in what way this joint could break. Could you perhaps point me to some pictures from those that claim their figures' joints broke? Or maybe explain how I could go about fixing the joint so my figure's not at risk? All I can think to do is sand the tooth a bit, but I'm afraid that'd only serve to turn the ratchet into a swivel. Sure, I could just take the tooth out entirely and leave it as a swivel proper, but doing that leaves said joint unable to support the weight of the arm and thus takes posability out of the question entirely. I suppose I could remove the tooth and then use some of the normal joint-tightening tricks, but given the forces at play on a titan class, I doubt this is the best idea. What would you recommend?
He is the Only Titan class I keep in alt mode, on display. I got the awesome 3P crawler stand, which I cannot recommend enough, and one of the 3d printed wings upgrades that was was done for it. Both of those are minor cost conscious upgrades to enhance. Otherwise, it was pretty solid as is. I like the bot mode but it is trumped by Finally having a legit Ark mode. If you get him for a deal especially, I would recommend scooping him up.
I can't fathom thst some dislike this guy. Hes the only Titan thats ever interested me and its not because of the alt-mode. I legitimately think hes the coolest one on principle of his bot mode design alone.

I wouldn't say it's too bad, but I do believe, no, I know it can use some improvements. THANK GOD we got 3rd Party companies for making upgrade kits to fix figures that Hasbro's too lazy to do themselves.
People might think he’s bad, but he definitely isn’t the worst titan. Titans return Fort Max easily takes that spot. The figure can barely stand, and is just an ugly remold of metroplex.
Shelf warmer? The only way you buy Titan class toys in my area is by purchasing them online. I live in a city of almost a half a million people, and none of the stores in my area have ever stocked Titan class toys. The legacy line is the first time since the generations era that the Walmart and Target stores around here have had anything larger than voyager class toys.
I understand, I live in Europe and the only way you can get figures larger than Leader Class is throught online stores and in those you would better pre-order better because they sell out really quickly.
I just ordered him for $156 AUD on the amazon black friday deals. Hes yet to be delivered so I don't have a verdict yet. I do think it will look good on display next to Omega.
great review. yeah something is missing fun wise. if it had a base mode. but the transformation seems so boring. i feel like its a oversized gobot or legends toy.
I never saw this guy in stores. I had to order this online but got it on sale. I like the figure. I only got it because it's THE Ark. I did get the upgrade set for the better hands. I would like to get the Toy Hax stickers.
Had an opportunity to get this for a great price at Target Once but I had to get some grocery so I had to pass on it so or not get food for awhile so haha haven't saw him since so haven't picked him up
bought this one at full price..no regrets. Your not wrong, but I still like it alot. It really does NOT do much, but I like it. Also, The old Legends Megatron Pistol works great for a weapon for him :)
The only reason I couldn’t buy him was that he was not to scale with my other toys. I thought about getting some Jada nanofigs and putting him on a separate shelf, but decided not to.
I like this guy, alot just don't have the $$ or shelf space for him, literally my only complaint is that he's not Omega Supreme (woulda been a nice Animated homage) Edit; also wish you get Mainframe as a separate figure, both for display purposes and cause it's a neat figure
I like him a lot more than Fort Max. Fort doesn't even have this much ankle tilt, which cripples most of the other articulation he has. His transformation also consists of "Raise arm and lay down". Very boring and not much fun to transform or handle. Looks good on the shelf, but I think the Ark is a lot more fun to actually play with.
i love him, but i had to put a lot of money to get him to a "perfect." toy hax and lots of upgrade kits to get the hands right. i am happy that i did preorder him
I have him, haven't messed with him, only a bit once (I suck). What really annoyed me were the turrets. Energon Sharkticon has 4 fully movable turrets and it's a deluxe. Why can't the Ark atleast have rotating turrets? They aren't even seperate pieces for me to get out and 3d print some myself to replace. And the huge gaps in spaceship mode. I still need to come across a decent upgrade set for a good price or maybe try and make something myself.
As someone who didn't grow up with G1, I think this release was whatever. Not everwhelmingly terrible, but adequate. Only got it for the kingdom completion.
After owning the Ark for about a month, I believe I have 3 main reasons you will like the Ark: 1. You've never owned/messed with a titan before. I am not a guy who would like to spend a lot of money at once for one item, so I never bought into the Titans. However, when the Ark got on sale recently on BBTS (and for reason number 3), I decided to grab him. I love messing with him as a Titan class figure. The experience messing with a Titan is nothing like messing with normal figures. Now, while I do enjoy the look of the Ark, I can confirm that there is not much to do with him other than occasional posing/transforming such a big figure. If you have never messed with a Titan before, this figure will 100% leave you wanting more of them. There are defiantly better Titans out there, but as a first Titan (especially for how much he has tended to go on sale), he is awesome. 2. You really, really like the Ark. This one is pretty explanatory (and is basically brought up in this video). Long story short, if you have always wanted a big Ark to display or mess with, then you will want this figure (which is one of the only Titans in which I believe the main appeal is the alt-mode rather than the robot mode). 3 (which is not necessarily tided to 2 but is related to it): You desire the revealed Nemesis and need the Ark to go with her. This was probably the main reason for me. Once they revealed the Nemesis, my brother said he wanted it. And if we have the Nemesis, we should have the Ark as well. Then in a couple of days, he went on-sale on BBTS, so I had to jump on him while I had the chance. As a final note, I do like the look of him, and I like his look more than the Nemesis, so there is also the subjective reason of liking him for him. However, I do believe these points sum up (minus point 2) of why I like him.
I mean those are ok reasons but I genuinely can’t like this thing I have not owned a titan prior to getting this and wow did I not like it I hated how loud the ratchets are ( of course I’m like the grinch I can’t stand loud noises) and it’s just ugly looking the head looks terrible I know it’s a reference to the last Autobot but realistically who actually cares about the last Autobot no one knows he even exists because he was in the last of the g1 comics and he was in the last because nobody was reading them anymore plus it just looks ugly with it looking like he put on the ark as a shirt and pants instead of him being the ark

This thing details for $300 here. That’s the same price as the MP-02 Soundwave that came with five MP cassette bots… it isn’t even close to the quality of that. I really hate the fact that the gun turrets can’t swivel.
Personally, of the Titan class figures my least favorite is titans return fort max, mostly cause there’s so much lost potential due to the use of retooling metroplex, that’s about it
The only thing I didn't really like is the hands. They remind me of those old "space age" prosthetic hands people used to have to use back in the day. They just look awkward AF.
I bought mine for like $120 Canadian last year during the Black Friday sale. Right now Metrolplex is on sale but this year I'm broke so no Titan class for me.
I can't justify dropping titan money on a character that I have no attachment to as a character. If instead of kingdom, this is released in legacy and transforms into an animated inspired omega supreme, maybe it could sell better.

There's a moderately priced upgrade kit for the tower spike.
Also bothers me how the landing gear have detail on the inside but on the outside it’s hollow.

I like how he looks like "The Last Autobot" who was actually a prime. Before the concept of the thirteen came along and he was no longer canon.

Second, I'd like to know if you could answer a question for me. Around the 7:30 minute mark, you talk about the Ark's shoulders exploding. So I grabbed my own figure off the shelf, took a listen and indeed, its right shoulder sounded quite scary. I opened it up to see if there was anything I could do about it, just to find a gear and a tooth that formed the ratchet joint. I'm afraid I don't understand in what way this joint could break. Could you perhaps point me to some pictures from those that claim their figures' joints broke? Or maybe explain how I could go about fixing the joint so my figure's not at risk? All I can think to do is sand the tooth a bit, but I'm afraid that'd only serve to turn the ratchet into a swivel. Sure, I could just take the tooth out entirely and leave it as a swivel proper, but doing that leaves said joint unable to support the weight of the arm and thus takes posability out of the question entirely. I suppose I could remove the tooth and then use some of the normal joint-tightening tricks, but given the forces at play on a titan class, I doubt this is the best idea.
What would you recommend?

I've accepted that if HasTak ever repaints him into TFA Omega Supreme I will be buying my first titan repaint.
He is the Only Titan class I keep in alt mode, on display. I got the awesome 3P crawler stand, which I cannot recommend enough, and one of the 3d printed wings upgrades that was was done for it. Both of those are minor cost conscious upgrades to enhance. Otherwise, it was pretty solid as is. I like the bot mode but it is trumped by Finally having a legit Ark mode. If you get him for a deal especially, I would recommend scooping him up.
I can't fathom thst some dislike this guy. Hes the only Titan thats ever interested me and its not because of the alt-mode. I legitimately think hes the coolest one on principle of his bot mode design alone.
Real talk, the only thing I wish he had was swivelable turrets. (That would have been easy enough)

Ya know, pipes is one of those really cool little guys I got. Maybe not quite as fun as deep cover, but he's up there as far as deluxes go
I wouldn't say it's too bad, but I do believe, no, I know it can use some improvements. THANK GOD we got 3rd Party companies for making upgrade kits to fix figures that Hasbro's too lazy to do themselves.
I 3d printed a brutal gun and a sword- now its amazing!!!!!!! Hasbro doesnt know how to please their customers......
People might think he’s bad, but he definitely isn’t the worst titan. Titans return Fort Max easily takes that spot. The figure can barely stand, and is just an ugly remold of metroplex.
Shelf warmer? The only way you buy Titan class toys in my area is by purchasing them online. I live in a city of almost a half a million people, and none of the stores in my area have ever stocked Titan class toys. The legacy line is the first time since the generations era that the Walmart and Target stores around here have had anything larger than voyager class toys.
I understand, I live in Europe and the only way you can get figures larger than Leader Class is throught online stores and in those you would better pre-order better because they sell out really quickly.

I just ordered him for $156 AUD on the amazon black friday deals. Hes yet to be delivered so I don't have a verdict yet. I do think it will look good on display next to Omega.
great review. yeah something is missing fun wise. if it had a base mode. but the transformation seems so boring. i feel like its a oversized gobot or legends toy.

I never saw this guy in stores. I had to order this online but got it on sale. I like the figure. I only got it because it's THE Ark. I did get the upgrade set for the better hands. I would like to get the Toy Hax stickers.
Had an opportunity to get this for a great price at Target Once but I had to get some grocery so I had to pass on it so or not get food for awhile so haha haven't saw him since so haven't picked him up
I like it, but it couldve used a third base mode. Instead of a removable computer, it shouldve unfolded into a command center for mainline figures.
I like this figure though it’s not perfect. I’m hoping he gets repainted into Vector Prime, and Mainframe into Safeguard.
bought this one at full price..no regrets. Your not wrong, but I still like it alot. It really does NOT do much, but I like it. Also, The old Legends Megatron Pistol works great for a weapon for him :)
The only reason I couldn’t buy him was that he was not to scale with my other toys. I thought about getting some Jada nanofigs and putting him on a separate shelf, but decided not to.

I like him a lot more than Fort Max. Fort doesn't even have this much ankle tilt, which cripples most of the other articulation he has. His transformation also consists of "Raise arm and lay down". Very boring and not much fun to transform or handle. Looks good on the shelf, but I think the Ark is a lot more fun to actually play with.
i love him, but i had to put a lot of money to get him to a "perfect." toy hax and lots of upgrade kits to get the hands right. i am happy that i did preorder him

The ratchet sounds' like a sound of a tommy gun shooting the Ark.
I have him, haven't messed with him, only a bit once (I suck). What really annoyed me were the turrets. Energon Sharkticon has 4 fully movable turrets and it's a deluxe. Why can't the Ark atleast have rotating turrets? They aren't even seperate pieces for me to get out and 3d print some myself to replace. And the huge gaps in spaceship mode. I still need to come across a decent upgrade set for a good price or maybe try and make something myself.
As someone who didn't grow up with G1, I think this release was whatever. Not everwhelmingly terrible, but adequate. Only got it for the kingdom completion.

After owning the Ark for about a month, I believe I have 3 main reasons you will like the Ark:
1. You've never owned/messed with a titan before.
I am not a guy who would like to spend a lot of money at once for one item, so I never bought into the Titans. However, when the Ark got on sale recently on BBTS (and for reason number 3), I decided to grab him. I love messing with him as a Titan class figure. The experience messing with a Titan is nothing like messing with normal figures. Now, while I do enjoy the look of the Ark, I can confirm that there is not much to do with him other than occasional posing/transforming such a big figure. If you have never messed with a Titan before, this figure will 100% leave you wanting more of them. There are defiantly better Titans out there, but as a first Titan (especially for how much he has tended to go on sale), he is awesome.
2. You really, really like the Ark.
This one is pretty explanatory (and is basically brought up in this video). Long story short, if you have always wanted a big Ark to display or mess with, then you will want this figure (which is one of the only Titans in which I believe the main appeal is the alt-mode rather than the robot mode).
3 (which is not necessarily tided to 2 but is related to it): You desire the revealed Nemesis and need the Ark to go with her.
This was probably the main reason for me. Once they revealed the Nemesis, my brother said he wanted it. And if we have the Nemesis, we should have the Ark as well. Then in a couple of days, he went on-sale on BBTS, so I had to jump on him while I had the chance.
As a final note, I do like the look of him, and I like his look more than the Nemesis, so there is also the subjective reason of liking him for him. However, I do believe these points sum up (minus point 2) of why I like him.
I mean those are ok reasons but I genuinely can’t like this thing I have not owned a titan prior to getting this and wow did I not like it I hated how loud the ratchets are ( of course I’m like the grinch I can’t stand loud noises) and it’s just ugly looking the head looks terrible I know it’s a reference to the last Autobot but realistically who actually cares about the last Autobot no one knows he even exists because he was in the last of the g1 comics and he was in the last because nobody was reading them anymore plus it just looks ugly with it looking like he put on the ark as a shirt and pants instead of him being the ark
Probably gonna pick him up just for his alt mode honestly. It’s good for my stop motions. Especially as I might be able to find this guy at Ross for $60

This thing details for $300 here. That’s the same price as the MP-02 Soundwave that came with five MP cassette bots… it isn’t even close to the quality of that.

I got this guy for 170 cad which was a pretty good deal, imo I like the robot mode its not for everyone.
Personally, of the Titan class figures my least favorite is titans return fort max, mostly cause there’s so much lost potential due to the use of retooling metroplex, that’s about it
The only thing I didn't really like is the hands. They remind me of those old "space age" prosthetic hands people used to have to use back in the day. They just look awkward AF.
It looks great...definitely too expensive though. I snapped it up straight away as l feared l may have missed out..I really regretted that decision.

The only Titan that I really regret buying is Fortress Maximus.
In stock configuration without the upgrade kits, the Ark isn't worth it. With the kits, it's worth it.
I can't justify dropping titan money on a character that I have no attachment to as a character. If instead of kingdom, this is released in legacy and transforms into an animated inspired omega supreme, maybe it could sell better.
