I opened Flow Designer for the first time just a few days ago. I was stuck on how to create an action that ran a script (to send Quick Messages). With the help of this video, I was able to do it...more or less. I just need to figure out how to populate the variables in the quick messages with data from the record. However, this is a big step forward. Thank you.
Love this comment! :)..glad it helped. I'm sure you've already been there but this may help: docs.servicenow.com/bundle/quebec-servicenow-platform/page/administer/notification/task/t_QuickMessages.html
Surprised you've managed to avoid FD for this long 😂. It did take me some getting used to, but loving it now!..although you cant beat a bit of script with a MonoKai theme to play on :)..sorry @servicenow 😂
Awesome! I did another vid with a couple of different options..the beauty of ServiceNow..lots of ways to achieve something..picking the best one is where the art is 😀
I created the action inside the Global spoke vs creating a new application. Should this still work? I am able to update the records with this method, but my event isn't triggering the email notification to the approver. Thanks for sharing this it has been a great lesson in flow designer.
Yeah that’s should be fine. I recently did a vid on sending an email via flow designer. Check that out as it may help for trouble shooting but also shows another way you can trigger an event without the need to create a custom action. 😀 every days a a school day 👊
Thank you so much for this. I'd be interested in a video to show how to do this using the OOTB action "Create Record" for SYSEVENT, which I believe is a more efficient way to triggering events from Flow.

Sorry for the delay...That's a great suggestion. Not tried that and would be interested to see if that works (logically it should of course).
When I ran the test and check the event log record, the sysid of the approval record populated the table field instead. What am I doing wrong?
