This is the 6th Beefalo video I've watched. I already knew how to tame a beefalo even before any of these videos were made but I still watch them cause I like beefalos.
Literally tamed my first ornery beefalo yesterday after 1,400 hours on this game. It was a pleasure. Now I can’t imagine my DST life without Wubbs (that’s his name) 😆
I only have 30 hours in the game but I got into beefalo taming because a YT video and I can't imagine playing without. I tamed my irst beefalo yesterday too and it ws ornery. Sadly while I killed Bearger, Deerclops got me and killed my Beefalo cause I was low health from attacking penguins. I'm sad about the loss of my Beefalo but I will get a new one :). Love them and I can't play without the movement speed and proper damage.
lol OMG love it. Thanks for sharing! As Wurt I don"t use to much because I live in the swamp but honestly maybe I should. Maybe set up a pen on the outskirts of the swamp. The mod will help so thanks!!!
If you completly forget about your beefalo, it takes around 40 days for the domestication to reach 0,in which case it will untame, however riding it will still give 5 points per day, so if you use the beefalo it should never untame. And yes, the beefalo dont care if you switch charecters, you can even give your tamed beefalo to someone else if you give that person the beefalo bell.
25% speed buff if you use war saddle, + 16 dmg. If you use Glossamer, you 55% speed bonus, but no extra dmg. Edit: the speed if for moving, not dmg cooldown.
Nice video, thanks! I only used Beefs to carry stuff for shadow-pieces and celestial altar but you made some really good points for actually completely taming one. Especially since i'm thinking about an all bosses Wes run sometime and there an early tamed beef would cancel nearly every downside of Wes.
I almost always just go with the rider beefalo because of the speed, although it is inconvenient to have to get off the beefalo if I wan't to fight, I will consider ornery
Was the spices working with beefalo a thing that got added? Because I’ve seen old posts EVERYWHERE that said you couldn’t benefit from feeding spices to the beef, but you could get the chili-jelly combo from eating it yourself. This also begs the question, can you double stack chili buffs by feeding yourself and the beef??
Beefalo + Warly is one of the stupidest combos and I love it. The spices just stacking like that make so many combinations possible. Garlic + Salt if you want to be tanks af. Chili + Chili for damage. Garlic + Chili for damage + defense, and so on. I love warly because of that, it’s just so stupidly good with beefalos.
You should note that this info is about DST. Not DS. In DS beefalos are affected by character damage modifiers, meaning that Wigfrid riding an ornery beefalo with a war saddle does over 75 damage (2 shotting doggos). Not sure if her defensive bonus of 25% damage res applies, but if it does - that makes her BEEFalo even BEEFier (albeit its only 500 health, so not that tough in the first place).
@@walmartiancheese4922 The most recent patch to DS has fixed a lot of those issues. Now beefalos do NOT gain character modifiers, meaning that theyre good for crappy toons, like Wendy or Wes, but good toons can skip the beefalo, to save time if nothing else. EDIT: this video is old, and my comment is old. I thnk the patch came out somewhere in june.
@@LiezAllLiez man... beefalo are way worse in DS than DST, can't craft, can't pick stuff up, can only interact with select things, now they're not even stupidly op in dps
@@walmartiancheese4922 Honestly speaking, ive only bothered with taming a beefalo a few times. The amount of grass and twings required to tame it makes it not worth it, as it would take you more than a season to do so. During winter and summer i would completely pause the process (park the beefalo at the salt lick) due to grass and twigs being scarce. A fully tamed beefalo is useful - it can fight, it allows you to move about quickly, and with the recent patch you can even pick stuff up off the ground, but the beefalo is/can be extremely fragile, and to efficiently tame it, you would need the brush, which isnt going to spawn (the sheep, i mean) until 2 seasons in, and winter, for the tusk. Everything the beefalo can do, i can do better on my own two feet, and if i die, its due to my clumsiness, and not because the beefalo decided to buck me off in the middle of a fight, or become hellbent on killing that group of tentacles, effectively committing assisted suicide. In short - a love-hate relationship. Not enough arguments for and not enough against. So we leave each other be lol
If Klei adds a late game dish that can be fed to beefalo for taming in 5 days or less then I might consider taming one. Till then just play Wanda. Teleport + High Damage = EZ Life
I always appreciate excellent beefalo guides. ❤I actually learned a few new things that a console players like myself can’t access. I love my beefy bear
volt goat chaud-froid while hitting the same (wet) target as abigail with an orrery beefalo using the war saddle. so hardly gonna happen very often, but it's fun
Beefalo bucked off during Bearger, cut to next scene featuring three mysterious wool on the ground. I’m dead.
Actually the beefalo is the one dead
The beefalo just went to a farm on a rainbow with old man Jenkins
The pudgy tamed beefalo was the real april fools trigger
Superintendent Beefalo: “I thought we were having steamed figs”
Player: “Oh, no. I said steamed TWIGS! That’s what I call 4 twigs.”
"yes, and you CALL them 'steamed twigs' despite the fact they are obviously BOILED"
He didn't lie was not a fake tutorial
we need more content creators like you for dst! This game has so much depth and intricacies but not enough people to share them with the community
thanks for the guide, 2-3 beefalo gives decent amount of meat for ruins and dragonfly
This is the 6th Beefalo video I've watched. I already knew how to tame a beefalo even before any of these videos were made but I still watch them cause I like beefalos.
You’re so real for this
That’s awesome
just like me fr fr
Same
I like how dst community found out how op beefalo taming is
you forgot to mention that once you start to get used to ride a beefalo you can't never turn back

I get the feeling someone convinced him to do this
On top of the damage boost warly also has the upside of preventing you from wasting the lightbulbs accidentally while trying to feed your beef
How long does it take a fully domesticated beefalo to untame? Also, if you switch characters does the beefalo remain tamed?
If you completly forget about your beefalo, it takes around 40 days for the domestication to reach 0,in which case it will untame, however riding it will still give 5 points per day, so if you use the beefalo it should never untame.

Thanks for the great video, comrade!
P.S. did you try to use Beefalo Status Bar mod instead of Beefalo widget?
I will check out the status bar also. Do you like that one more?
@@FTLAK oh, hello, comrade from Alaska! Yeah i like status bar much more, it looks cool and have adaptive interface. You also can hide it if you want.
@@Tiberian39 Thanks!! I will check that one out also. I need to use the beefs more.
I have tried it in the past and it's def better. The Widget feels more "don't starve" to me, but it's just a visual preference
@@CatPersonDST i see, thanks for the answer!
So thats the dish im missing from my cook book. Beefalo treats couldnt find how to make it now i can complete the book again
Beefalos are also helpful for transporting suspicious marbles. Also riding one prevents Ewecus from stunning you.
An ewecus almost killed my beef (rider tho)
You could've also mentioned maxwell duelists for farming butterfly wings like Abigail
???
@@micdonallls8853 Maxwell's duelist can auto farm butterflies for the glossamer saddle just like Abigail if you spawn them on the flowers

I've been taming all four types recently, and I got to say that I'm liking default with war saddle so far.
+ no speeddown from moving statues or using a piggyback

How to take a domesticated beefalo into caves and ruins in don't starve rog?
I almost always just go with the rider beefalo because of the speed, although it is inconvenient to have to get off the beefalo if I wan't to fight, I will consider ornery
Tilte: Ruined Rush EZ Guide.
The actual video: Really serious and usefule beefalo taming guide.
Good vid, Happy april fools ;)
We already know how to rush the ruins (sorry noobs who just heard of dont starve), so its more of a guide to how beefalo is op for the ruins.

Taming a beef literaly changed my way to play this game

you need to look into reading audio books. You would be someone that I would enjoy listening to.

Beefalo gang rise up
Forgot to mention how good befallos are on wallter
Seaweeds can damage you when you ride a beefalo as well
I wish I could get the mod but I only have the Xbox version of Don't starve together
I main warly and love beefslo but didn’t want to sacrifice my op damage. I am in a good mood rn
Do your beefalos un tame if you don't feed it when it's tamed the wiki says it does but I'm not sure if it really does.
It foes but if you leave it for a long lon time then it starts so losing one to that ajes a really long long long long lon time
