    Thanks for your helpful video. One thing to point out though is the crush washer. They called crush for a reason; it’s a bundled washer that gets crashed once you hit the right amount of torque while tightening the drain bolt and it becomes like the one you showed. It is used almost in all motorcycle so might wanna look in to that. Thanks again b

    Thank you sir! That little model took me days to find, and I was sad I could not find it in red. It has been a trooper, it has survived my 3 year old son! :)

    Nice job! A couple things that I will suggest to your viewers are....
    1. ALWAYS use metal drain plug gaskets only. Plastic, rubber, and fiber ones leak about 50% of the time. Metal ones do not leak.
    2. Put a small coating on RTV sealant on the inside lip of the drain plug head & coat the drain plug gasket with a thin layer of RTV just before you reinstall it (to prevent premature drying of RTV).
    Metal washers + clean surfaces + RTV = No leaks! :)

    Great Vids! Your Carb teardown saved my Ruckus from a costly trip to the dealer! I hit a bump kinda hard driving up my lawn... maybe intentionally... anyway it caused the carb to become clogged but your vid guided me through! Now looking to change the oil in my Wife's Met. Thanks!

    Have you had crankcase issues or do you change the oil enough to keep it at bay?

    TheTexasCoder hello, could you help me with a question? I also have a '05 Metro, I would like to vent the crank case. On the Ruckus forums there are people modding their pre '06 GET2 engines with a Ruckus '06 crank vent/chain tensioner set. I want to do this to the Metro. Have you seen this done and can I do it to the Metro? Any info would help, thanks.

    Great vid, due for an oil change on my 2005 Metro. Just over 1,500 miles on it since I bought it September 1, 2007, from a reputable dealer here in Austin, TX - Urban Motor Sports, 1402 Hether St. Thanks so much for your tutorial as this is my first scooter. Have a great one ! 😀😀😀😀

    Good vidio. I'm surprised at the number of people who post similar vid's and never mention the crush washer or the filter screen. Beware of uninformed self proclaimed online experts.

    Thanks for your helpful video. One thing to point out though is the crush washer. They’re called crush for a reason; it’s a bubbley washer that gets crashed once you hit the right amount of torque while tightening the drain bolt and becomes flat like the one you showed. It is used almost in all motorcycle so you might wanna look in to that. Thanks again

    Thanks for an excellent video. I just bought a 2015 Metropolitan and I've only got 130 miles on it now, but I'm looking forward to my first oil change. Can you make a video on the air filter?

    Great video! Thank you. Does anyone else experience that when you turn off your Metro it sometimes continues to run but slowly winds or putts down anywhere from 3-5 sometimes up to 10 seconds before it completely turns off? I just got my Honda 2003 Metropolitan 1 and a half months ago. The oil looked fine, I checked it yesterday and its Really low. I'm changing it today but what issues should I keep my eye out for in regards to any problems that might or possibly could have incurred do to lack of oil for a short amount of time? Also my manual says 10W-40 is the oil to use. How big of a difference is there between 10W-40 motorcycle oil vs. Good brand 10W-40 car oil? Thank you in advance for any & all answers & suggestions.

    • @Snurre86
      @Snurre86 7 років тому

      Having motorcycle oil is only important for motorcycles that have a gearbox (manual gearing) and a clutch that share the engine oil if I am not mistaken. I would figure that out and just buy the cheapest 10w-40 oil if that is what the manual specify.

      lito pool its not called an ECU on a bike. Its actually called a CDI module but it is the brains of your bike and does a lot like a ECU.
