As I am a patriotic pole, the first nation I ever played in hoi4 was naturally Poland. Before even knowing what a front line order is I went into the game eagerly expecting a tough fight. I played for like 5 hours before Germany demanded Danzig because I was trying to figure out the game mechanics. All that work and I got annihilated in less than a month. Got absolutely steamrolled. Then my next 15 playthroughs were also Poland because I was bitter about it. Now I have 645 hours on the game and still, I didn't think what you did was possible. You're the best god damn general the world has ever seen.
Lol thanks!
I think this strategy is definitely repeatable to anyone that wants to give it a whirl, although it definitely is difficult!
You should keep at it dude! Poland is in a tough position holding out against both giants, but it is doable as you well see, of course spider added some difficulty but you could try many things like pulling back into a better position, joining the allies or the comintern, and another thing you should try is playing as a nation that also gets attacked so you get to know how to defend better (like czechslovakia and netherlands, for instance)
@@fernandocast435 That's the only way I ever managed to survive the war on the Sanation path - give ground in Gdynia and Poznań and it was still tough. Compare that to the monarchist path where conquering the world is easier than making toast.
didnt you fail the challenge if you lost danzig and gdynia
Yesn't
The spirit was complete, but technically it was a failure.
Why die for Danzig?
@@GhostCryProductionslol
Considering that just surviving as Poland without going monarchist and without ceding territory is plenty hard enough I still see this as a win, plus that invasion wasn't THAT bad
6:52 you can click from the railway and dont have to click from the supply hub.
11:50 you’ve absolutely succeeded in spirit, but the rules lawyer in me wants to go…. You lost Gdynia. 😅
Yes indeed, I am ashamed lol
I just was so sad when I saw the naval invasion coming and I had nothing in place
@@hatless_spider I was already sad when I saw you take Konigsberg, move your troops out and leave no port guards ;-)
@@antasil5768 i just need you to yell at me while I'm doing my recordings 😄
@@hatless_spider That can be arranged!
At 3:42 the stats are great for a light self-propelled anti-air design in June 1937:
91.6% Reliability
51.3 Armor
6.21 Production Cost.
In theory, you could do something similar with a medium tank hull design a year later in June 1938 once you get medium tank hull tech, but the nice thing about light tank hulls in 1937 is that you don't have to wait the extra year until mid-1938 to get decent light tank hull tech.

I like your videos, and also greetings from Poland . Siemaneczko
Thanks!
After capturing Berlin start training 16 CW shovel infantry. To put at the soviet border. While you finish axis they can hust stay at the soviet border. After Axis is done some part of that 16cws can be sent to defend the coastlines. Or you can make them 18 or 21 cw infantry. Not a great divison but after the point you have about 30 space Marines someone needs to fill the frontline while the veterans push forwards.
I wholeheartedly approve of this.
Lore of Historical Poland, but we leave NO POLES BEHIND!! HOI4 momentum 100

As a Polishman I am proud
Yes we shall win

Great video what are all templates
Nice.

Jeez.
Chad poland V Virgin Molotov-ribbion trov pacted (i dont no how to spell it)
Chad Poland vs angry extremist soyjaks
I always get stuck on the march to stettin. No supply and stiff German resistance
It is pain right there, sometimes it's best to build a port in the north for supplies or try to build some trucks for motorized supplies
Basic rule that can help a lot: Anything on a tank chassis gets at least 1 fuel drum rack.
With the 1st upper slot that you devote to a fuel drum rack, you are typically not giving up much.
With a light tank capable of being used in a light tank support company, you can typically devote 2 upper equipment slots to fuel drum racks without giving up much. Tank destroyers and self-propelled artillery receive enough of a penalty on their secondary weapons that it is a good idea to devote 2 upper equipment slots in the design screen to having fuel drum racks instead of secondary weapons.
Support company flame tanks get such severe penalties on their secondary weapons that you can typically spend 3 upper equipment slots on fuel drum racks.
Not much division fuel depletion happens during non-combat travel into friendly territory. In fact, when strategically redeploying using the railnet and roadnet, divisions tend to gain fuel along the way.
Division fuel supply however gets depleted rapidly when in combat, except when the combat is within horse supply radius of a friendly supply hub. During any hour in which a fuel-using division starts off with zero fuel, that fuel-deprived division will only fight at half strength, and can only move at 1 kilometer per hour, stalling an advance. A retreat at only 1 kilometer per hour can lead to a normally speedy division getting overrun by enemy infantry marching at 4 kilometers per hour, since the resulting 4 to 1 speed ratio is enough to make a speed overrun likely.
Short version: You can give your divisions extra fuel capacity by putting in at least 1 fuel drum rack on every vehicle design that uses a tank chassis. Division fuel capacity is mostly a combat-related statistic, since normal non-combat related movement into a friendly tile uses little fuel, and since strategic movement typically uses zero fuel unless travelling outside of the railnet in a zero infrastructure state.
Thus a combat trick when an offensive is about to stall far from a friendly supply hub, when you have a division with good fuel capacity, is to send such a division that is almost out of fuel to or adjacent to a friendly supply hub where that division can recharge its fuel supply, and then send that division back into combat, where it will arrive with an almost full supply of fuel. (Manpower and equipment and supplies also rapidly gets at least partially refilled too at or adjacent to a supply hub.) A higher division fuel capacity means fewer such round trips are needed.
An army listing of motorized or mechanized or tank divisions has tiny fuel drum icons toward the right of each of those types of divisions, fuel drum icons that you can hover the cursor over in order to check on the fuel status of an individual division. The next time an attack stalls far from a friendly supply hub, check to see if a problem of low or zero fuel has happened to many of your attack army's divisions. If you are attacking at half strength and advancing at only 1 kilometer per hour due to low fuel, those two out of fuel penalties can very easily stall an advance.
Its Szczecin
This seems like a somewhat fun challange! Did you do this first try?
It was a failure
@@olabolob it technically was, but come on, he did too well to call it a restart.
No I had another attempt that ended very poorly. I lost several provinces and had to retreat back to the circle of warsaw to katowice
Hatless, I have a challenge for you. Try to form super Habsburg Poland by forming Austria Hungary as Czechoslovakia and then annexing Czechoslovakia through the Habsburg tree mechanics. I have been trying at this but I can't seem to get it.
I have a strategy for this! Trying to finish up a vid right now but hopefully will get to this soon!
@@hatless_spider cool, would you mind telling me if it doesn't take too long? I am eager to try it for myself
Can you do one where you make the HRE then go democratic to for the EU then somehow go back to being a monarchy??
Challenge Failed. You lost Gdynia, Bydgoszcz, Zaolzie, a tile in Krakow, and Torun.
You were close though.
Yeah, for me it's not always about winning, it's about the journey.
Someone can put that on a wall motivational poster lol
At 10:36 u lost zaolzie and one tile in krakow
Yep and later on i lost gdynia.
It wasn't perfect, but it was fun!
whats the port trick?
When someone allows the enemy to take or keep a port, then proceeds to destroy their entire army because the ai will continuously flood troops to that encircled port
@@hatless_spider ah okay I know that one, thought there was a polish specific port trick, thank you
*i wonder ask: how you get so much views man?*
I like to think it's the content and quality of it, but i still have a long way to go in improving!
do the same with ethiopia
Don't think that's possible lol
@@hatless_spider no no you got it you have what 2mil factories you can make space marines
dislike i see in comment u tried to lie but forgot to cut out where u failed challenge wtf
Huh? I never claimed to have fully succeeded at every parameter
It is doable, and I could redo it, but I had fun with what I did, and for me, that is the goal. as I said, the spirit of the challenge was complete. That is not a lie lol
@@hatless_spider stop yapping
@@Floyd-wp7bn ok buddy
The shit you have to put up with as a youtuber. It's like working in kindergarten.
Sorry, but a 2 speed try hard against Germany for a Poland holds challenge is really stupid.
you're welcome to like what you like, but give this a try if you think it is easy
