For some reason, some ppls seem to think that a power tool can only be good if it goes through rebar in about 5 secends or so. Well, it takes longer than that for just about any grinder. Sure you can push harder with a corded tool but then you don't get the mobility that a cordless tool has to offer. There is not a tool that offers the best of both worlds. At least not yet.

I have this tool, and find it very useful, for many intended tasks.
It's a definite plus, with the auxiliary handle to be positioned on the top side, that other grinders don't offer---an asset for many cutting and grinding tasks.

If you need to or want to cut faster, or cut larger and thicker objects, then use a chop saw with the appropriate cut-off wheel, for the material.
Its necessary to use the proper intended cutting disc for the cutting/grinding task at hand.
Some select to use an inadequate cutting wheel, then blame the grinder.

People complaining about how long it took to cut through that rebar obviously haven’t been in that situation with a grinder. As a union plumber I’ve came across many moments having to grind around rebar and that shit is tough

I'm an ironworker, and I'm have had to cut thicker rebar than that in worse positions with a dewalt cordless grinder and it took less time

As I work on roofs this grinder has been excellent. Not sure about the comment that it took forever to cut? It's fairly reasonable time. Yes, a plug in tool should have more power. It's a different kettle of fish.

These tools are designed for tradies who need the versatility of cordless and the safety aspect of not having electric cables everywhere. If you want them to cut faster then use a quality 1mm thick cut off wheel. They cut faster and are easier on tools.

I wish I had saw this video first, I wouldn't have bought this POS. It's okay to have but I ended up with another Milwaukee grinder that is a fuel. It was used and looked like crap but it's way better.

I find it really slow for cutting any metal. Any other material like abs , pvc, copper, and just for grinding it works great

The new fuel they have coming out is awesome. We should be uploading the video soon.

    I bought this 2680-20.
I use a Dewalt at work... not a fan.
I use corded Milwaukee, Metabo, Dewalt...
I like Milwaukee so I bought this one at Home Depot...
    This grinder SUCKS!
I'll take it back and get a better Milwaukee model. Spend a little more and get a grinder that will do work!

Took forever tool to cut the metal would be better off with a corded grinder so you don't have to deal with the overload protection

That's operator technique. With abrasive cut off wheels, its all about minimizing the length of cut engagement. you have to constantly move the wheel around the cut and you will make the cut much quicker with less wear on the tool. Setting the blade in one spot and forcing the tool through will overload any grinder. Every new gut that works for me has to be taught this, and they never believe me till I show them.

Many of the tool reviews, I've reviewed, are inaccurate/incomplete and misleading.
