His bankai is busted but it being situational forces Shinji to engage intelligently. It definitely fits his character and also gives us an idea of the type of bankai Aizen has, because shikai effects can be more useful than bankai effects.

Renji's bankai changed when he learned it's real name and Hisagi's *spoiler* shikai actually has an effect that he wasn't using because he disliked his sword's appearance so he wasn't aware of it's ability.

Not possible. Aizen is extremely powerful, and cunning. Even if we say the shinigamies are out, and so they are safe... none could even scratch Aizen. Gin's lethal trick only works if his guard is down, and even that was too late with the hougyoku fusion's hax. Let's say in Karakura battle, on the visored's arrival, after the chitchat, Hachi teleports the goodguys out, and Shinji alone goes bankai: As per inended, everyone goes berserk. Aizen wuickly deduces that if he can't tell who is friend and who is enemy, that simply means everyone is enemy. The endresult is Aizen soloing his own army and Shinji. The 4 pillars are destroyed, real Karakura returns, Aizen can make the OuKen (King's Key), and storm the Royal Guard once his hougyoku fusion complete. Without Gin's betrayal and Ichigo's sufficient level of challenge this way, Aizen can't exploit the Hougyoku boosts (the whole reason he needed Ichigo, and didn't shikai KO him too), and with his post chrysalis 1st fusion form Ichibe absolutely destroys him. With Aizen and the Gotei 13 radically weaker and most importantly Ichigo slain by a very bored and dissappinted Aizen, Yhwach's invasion can waltz through Soul Society barely braking a sweat. Not the ideal results.
@@themrmezbah Not really. Strong opponents can have strong allies. Gin _would_ have killed Aizen if it wasn't for the Hogyoku wanting to keep him alive. But at the beginning of the fight in Fake Karakura (the circumstances - if Shinji would have been set up to just fight him in Bankai from when he arrived) Aizen wasn't there yet in terms of fusion/evolution. Having Gin attack him then could have had a very different turn for Aizen. It also makes Aizen think that Shinji is a trusted ally of his. So Aizen won't try to fight Shinji - if anything he'd try to protect him. So that's a first step: not getting killed by Aizen. And then, depending on how things play out, there will be opportunities to try and get the upperhand through the "false friendship". Not guaranteed that there'll be an opening or an opportunity. But looking for it is part of the Bankai. Shinji will know how to use it. And another thing people seem to overlook: it doesn't _only_ reverse "the sense of ally and foe" and reverses all kinds of stuff - just like the Shikai - and more. So regardless of who you see as ally or foe, doing anything while in his AOE - let alone fighting - becomes _really_ tough. And *on top of that* you get confused about who your allies and foes are. This Bankai creates absolute chaos that wreaks havoc on its own Obviously not a guaranteed win for Shinji. But neither for Aizen. Same as Kubo said with Shunsui. Kubo said Shunsui would have had a chance against Aizen, if he had used his Bankai. Pretty much same could be said about Shinji. There are 6 Shinigami (excluding zero squad and mugetsu) who would have a chance against Aizen: Yamamoto Genryuusai, Kyoraku Shunsui, Zaraki Kenpachi, Hirako Shinji, Ichimaru Gin and Azashiro Soya.
Easy, its just overspecialised, just as his Shikai is. He is one of the best at doing a few things, but when outside of his area of speciality he is not that great. Problem is that there are people like Aizen out there, who are better than him at doing the same things, while also being much more versatile.
@@louisrobitaille5810 not really. First of all, Aizen is smart, so it wouldn't be surprising if he could actually work out exactly what was really happening under Shinji's shikai illusion. Second, there is a possibility that he could just put himself under an opposite illusion with Kyoka Suigetsu. Third, to be able to fuse with Hougyoku you need to have at least 10 times more spiritual energy than a regular captain class shinigami, and if you have way more reiatsu than your opponent then you can just shrug off their attacks like its nothing, even if these attacks have bullshit effects like Soi Fons 2 hit kill, or Barragans time aura thingy. So yeah, at least 3 probable reasons why Shinji would've most likely failed.
If used correctly, It is overpowered. Imagine if you are alone and facing a group of enemies, you'll just wait until they are done killing each other. It is useless in most scenarios like the TYBW arc, you can't use it while allies are all around.
I love his Bankai, and it's one of the scarriest ones to me alongside Shuhei's. The guy could conquer the world with his Bankai easily, because no army that goes against him could attack him. Napoleon and Hitler would feel ashamed of themselves next to him. XD Can't wait for us to get him in BBS next year!

As a person who likes to be solo I think this be a great ability when you fight 1v 3 or more. So shikai for group fight and bankai in solo fights. It's a win win situation

Ehh his shikai is weak too. Anyone with a aoe abilities could just blast the whole place. Bambietta basically did that, i think Bazz B also dealt with him when they bump into each other.

Honestly when you think about it, it's a pretty darn good Bankai. If he's faced with 2 or more enemies, he'll force them to kill each other with no effort to himself. He can theoretically kill an infinite number of enemies with it. Afterwards, he can 1v1 the remaining survivor, where he can simply revert back to shikai and duel them. If he has allies, they can run out of range, then come back to kill the 1 enemy left.
Kinda reminds me of Shunsui's bankai. While the gen2 headcaptain's deal with games/plays, Shinji's theme is inversion. Shikai is a precison tool that needs prowess to use but can be effective in various situations, bankai is a very situational high-risk/high-reward overclocked total realityF#CK.
This is one of the best assassination bankais in the entire series. Could enter any area with a large amount of enemies, pop bankia, stand there make sure they all die, then dip.
I have mixed feelings about this anticipated bankai, I think it’s pretty genius if you see it as I do, making everyone to kill each other is a very op ability... for a villain, i was kinda expecting that from aizens bankai cause I felt it was kinda fitting but for shinji this is more situational and probably just a one hit wonder, but still I think it’s pretty dope, I want to see how Klab is going to create this bankai for the game in the CFYOW round something soon
Oh God, I hope they don't take the bankai literally and give him confuse 😓. It would be the only status ailment in the game that fits the concept of 'enemies killing each other' but in the game it ain't that great considering that confused enemies have less predictable direction to their attacks and you're still at risk of being hit... Unless 🤔🤔🤔 they could give him a barrier
For sure it will be kind of confusion ability but (maybe) instead of being confused like it currently is : I mean just hit and miss sometimes, it would be : ennemies throwing punch at each other without missing. I don't see what klab could do else.
aizen bankai also needs restriction for a needed reason as to why he never used it, for example removing the effects of his shikai once he activates bankai would be a great reason for someone like aizen to have never used it against anyone.

Would be cool if once the special aka bankai is activated the flower around shinji would be the +10 barrier to protect him and his teams for the bankai affects but back to the status I hope they just makes the enemy (for a period of time) to be inmune of the attacks and they actually hurt themselves with no damage for shinji or his teammates
This Bankai is basically for infiltrating an enemies location or camp and having them kill eachother. In that sense, it is one of the most powerful Bankai.
Shinji’s bankai is really strong. Using this bankai, he can deal with any entire of enemy. The only downside is that he is not near anyone, but just because of such limitation doesn’t mean it’s weak. During the Quincy arc, Shinji’s bankai would be terribly effective at dealing with the invasion. Not only would the activation of his bankai counter the potential of his bankai being stolen, he can deal with large army of strong Quincy.
I think it's a good bankai for Shinji. Remember, the soul society wasn't as chaotic as it is now. So back then, Shinji could've been sent on missions by himself against hollow outbreaks and whatnot. He's essentially a one man anti-army.
This makes sense as he did not use it in the Azien fight .His is not the only bankai that effects friend and foe making it situration .Yet it can be very useful it you are fighting a group of powerful enemies .
It's not that shiny since you put it that way. But it doesn't change the fact it's very scary and also banned for a reason. Imagine him being a villain; you prepare for attack then everybody kills each other. Then you plan to fight him 1v1; he uses his shikai. Maybe he is not supposed to be good character.
So even his Bankai still doesn't even compare to Aizen's Shikai lol... Aizen has complete control over all senses. It's perfect hypnosis. This is basically just an uncontrollable version of that, and is alot less versatile....
There was a reason Aizen told Shinji his power is child's play. If you think about it Aizen can mimic Shinji shikai power by altering the placement of opponents and attacks. Aizen just uses his shikai simply because that is enough to get the job done.

Not only that but fusing with his sword has altered kyoka suigetsu a bit. For one it can create illusions of bankais that Aizen never saw but Juha did...meaning the ability now seems to take things from the opponent mind to help it be even more believing.
True but remember there's a sense of Duality between Aizen and Shinji. Aizen is Hypnosis and Shinji is Illusion. Both have powerful Zanpakuto powers based off these two concepts thats effectivity and purpose are different amd complimentary to their personalitites and possibly each other if they had worked together for a little while longer. I like that they're both different and the same in a way.

So basically shinji bankai makes it that you have to reestablish who is you ally and who is your enemy in a fight and since you dont have time to do that in the middle of battle your first instinct would be to slash everything in sight. Pretty neat ability but yeah I understand why he did not use when he fought with allies it would be more effective when he fights alone and greatly outnumbered.
I think that this fits Shinji perfectly. He is someone who cuts himself off from everyone else, because he can’t trust them. He makes so that he is forever alone, and if anyone gets close to him he could kill them. P.S.- thanks for all of these uploads. I loved Bleach, but after the Quincy war it kind of fell off the map for me. You and your channel brought that love back.
Shinji's Bankai is basically a one man army type of deal. Shinji has to be the first one to go to battle or be the very first line of defense against a group of enemies to make his bankai useful. But his status as a captain will always have his subordinates around him so not the ideal scenario. I really like his banka despite its limitations, it remind us that bankais are more varied than a simple transformation or final attack like we usually see. However i am interested to find out how wide is the range of his bankai.
I've read somewhere, that Kubo Tite said that he was planning confront Shinji's bankai with The Miracle. If that's true, it must have been something different originally, cause Sakashima would be useless in that situation (Gerard was solo and there was Hirako's allies).
It could probably be used well with a lieutenant who's familiar with it. If its Shinji and his lieutenant, Shinji could use bankai and the enemy would think the lieutenant is his ally, whereas the lieutenant would know that the one he now sees as his ally is really his enemy.
Shinji bankai is strong, very strong, but so very situational. Like he has to either fight few enemies, or the entire army and be alone. Like I don't even think if a time when could've used his bankai. It's like u eat super good food, but only can eat it alone so that others wouldn't eat it. Final thoughs: it's rly strong, but very very situational.
Depends if he can expand the immunity area. If he could then on all you would have to do is get his allies to gather on that location which would look less conspicuous then telling people to move out of a specified area
this bankai is lit op if more than 1 enemy just tell them how your bankai works and they will have a infinity to think who is their enemy whose their allies

I already really found it funny that both Shinji's first and last names have the kanji for 'child' in them (the 'ko' in Hirako and 'ji' in Shinji) and now he ends up with a nadeshiko flower... that is spelt with the kanji for child as well... XD
It's great to use in a 1 vs 1 or in a 1 vs multiple opponents. But horrible if he has an allie, unless he tells him to stay still or something. We should've seen it when he was about to face Bazz B. Damn i really hope Kubo comes back to write and draw more BLEACH.
If you think about it, his bankai is actually one that you wouldn't wanna encounter if your powers aren't hypnotic or psychic. It makes him someone you wouldn't wanna be part of the Gotei 13 especially if he didn't care much about bonds and relationships like Aizen lol
Well, since we're speculating about it; there's really no telling what the Kura-town battle would end like because it's possible that bankai would've revealed Aizen, since it causes the actual people to fight each other; in a sense it may have made him visible to others so he can be fought by them, otherwise invisible characters would be immune to it, making it rather lame.. in a sense perhaps it would reset the battle field.. Although Aizen basic stats are OP, he can't kill all those captains with their kidos and full strengths with even Yamamoto there, if he's revealed to them. In one translation I watched, he stated after unleashing wonderweiss, that Yamamoto using his full strength could defeat him.. it seems there were boundaries to his abilities and how shinji's bankai would affect them, is unknown. But then perhaps also his own bankai would more than even the score.
Huh. His bankai is surprisingly simple, compared to the rumors. I wouldn't say his Shikai is stronger than his Bankai, though. Just a lot more situational. If he revealed his Shikai on anyone other than Aizen, I think Shinji would completely stomp them. He could've also solo'd Gin, Tousen, and all of Espada in the right circumstances with his Bankai. Also, let's stop comparing Aizen with Shinji (or with anyone else, really). They're completely worlds apart, in terms of power. Not only does Kyoka Suigetsu control the 5 senses, its power "transcends" time, as evident when even he hax'd Juha.
Episode 60, Isane claims that Aizen's zanpakuto is supposed to use mist to confuse enemies into attacking each other. Despite what Shinji said about Aizen not knowing about his zanpakuto in their fight, I'm starting to think Aizen-sama figured this out somehow and based the lie off of Shinji's Bankai.
He is cool in design and people like his personality but look at his history. Aizen tricked him like a major fool in turn back the pendulum. Aizen said his shikai power is child's play and made quick work of him in their fight. Then we have the quincy Bambietta who not even being that smart immediately realizes his shikai is not a threat if you use an omnidirectional attack and one shots him. After that he did nothing throughout the war. He is pretty lame honestly and that is actually by his showings.
Cylus O'Brady Agreed. His design and his chill personality are what makes him kinda cool, but my god, for the Vizard leader, and presumably, one of the stronger members, if not the strongest due to his leadership, dude has terrible showings. His only good showing was vs a Half dead Grimmjow with one arm. Thats like an adult man fighting a wounded dying puppy at that point. One shot by Bambi, trolled by Aizen, bodied by Gerard. He was introduced as a mysterious former captain who was supposed to be quite powerful, and ended up having worse showings than Izuru.
His Bankai is a true bankai if you remember in the beginning of the series bankai was supposed to be a shinigami’s last resort . We’ve just been spoiled by weake captains who immediately use bankai

What is shinji supposed to do against such an enemy with his stupid bankai?
Shinji is the ultimate gank buster, just activate his bankai and he'll get his enemies to kill each other and even if they're aware of his bankais effects he could just deactivate it and reactivate it in order to confuse them
I don't think the Bankai is a bad one by any stretch tbh, because if you think about it. How many captains could've used their Bankai to 1vall the Espada? It just changes the circumstances a bit is all.
So this explains why Yamamoto was ready to draw his sword and slay Shinji, had he not confirmed his status of being the soul society's ally during their battle with Aizen!
I don't get why it doesn't work 1v1. I'm fighting Aizen, he's my enemy. I use Bankai, he becomes my friend. I say, "Hey friend, come here I'ma teleport us to coffee shop for fun and relaxation". Your "friend" comes up to you, and you waste him with your sword or kido.
Note: it wouldn’t be any good if it was only one on one because what will the Bankai do to your opponent if there is no one else around. This Bankai could be beneficial if it was you against a whole army without your allies in range.
So basically, shinjis bankai makes him a one man army. It's very useful but only in distinct situations. Like if shinji found himself in a 1 vs all situation.
Problem with this Bankai is even if let's say he walked into the Sternritter base and activates it, he cannot get them to completely kill each other. The hollows completely killed each other because they are practically the same power level. If used on Sternritters, their power level is not the same, so in the end one person would survive, either being Gerard, Lille, Pernida, Haschwalt or Gremmy. And they can take care of Shinji afterwards.
No after that they suicide it is stated in the novel thats how is bankai works and even then shikai plus hollow mask wich is poisonous to quincies would do it e only lost because he wasn t expecting the attack
From the fillers...a bit but Koga's Murmasa allowed him to actually summon zanpakto spirits and hypnotize them to his cause. Way stronger than Shinji's bankai power. I do recall he made allies fight each other through manipulation of their swords but they hadn't truly turn against each other.
I personally think it's ok, I mean it's an army killer and with someone like Kisuke creating strategies on how he can use it, it can be op. Although I still think there's one thing we need to know... And that is what the fuck does Ichigos Bankai do that Yhwach would consider it necessary to break immediately

As per inended, everyone goes berserk. Aizen wuickly deduces that if he can't tell who is friend and who is enemy, that simply means everyone is enemy.
The endresult is Aizen soloing his own army and Shinji. The 4 pillars are destroyed, real Karakura returns, Aizen can make the OuKen (King's Key), and storm the Royal Guard once his hougyoku fusion complete.
Without Gin's betrayal and Ichigo's sufficient level of challenge this way, Aizen can't exploit the Hougyoku boosts (the whole reason he needed Ichigo, and didn't shikai KO him too), and with his post chrysalis 1st fusion form Ichibe absolutely destroys him.
With Aizen and the Gotei 13 radically weaker and most importantly Ichigo slain by a very bored and dissappinted Aizen, Yhwach's invasion can waltz through Soul Society barely braking a sweat.
Not the ideal results.

@@themrmezbah Not really. Strong opponents can have strong allies. Gin _would_ have killed Aizen if it wasn't for the Hogyoku wanting to keep him alive. But at the beginning of the fight in Fake Karakura (the circumstances - if Shinji would have been set up to just fight him in Bankai from when he arrived) Aizen wasn't there yet in terms of fusion/evolution. Having Gin attack him then could have had a very different turn for Aizen.
It also makes Aizen think that Shinji is a trusted ally of his. So Aizen won't try to fight Shinji - if anything he'd try to protect him. So that's a first step: not getting killed by Aizen. And then, depending on how things play out, there will be opportunities to try and get the upperhand through the "false friendship".
Not guaranteed that there'll be an opening or an opportunity. But looking for it is part of the Bankai. Shinji will know how to use it.
And another thing people seem to overlook: it doesn't _only_ reverse "the sense of ally and foe" and reverses all kinds of stuff - just like the Shikai - and more. So regardless of who you see as ally or foe, doing anything while in his AOE - let alone fighting - becomes _really_ tough. And *on top of that* you get confused about who your allies and foes are. This Bankai creates absolute chaos that wreaks havoc on its own
Obviously not a guaranteed win for Shinji. But neither for Aizen. Same as Kubo said with Shunsui. Kubo said Shunsui would have had a chance against Aizen, if he had used his Bankai. Pretty much same could be said about Shinji.
There are 6 Shinigami (excluding zero squad and mugetsu) who would have a chance against Aizen: Yamamoto Genryuusai, Kyoraku Shunsui, Zaraki Kenpachi, Hirako Shinji, Ichimaru Gin and Azashiro Soya.

Easy, its just overspecialised, just as his Shikai is. He is one of the best at doing a few things, but when outside of his area of speciality he is not that great. Problem is that there are people like Aizen out there, who are better than him at doing the same things, while also being much more versatile.
@@louisrobitaille5810 not really. First of all, Aizen is smart, so it wouldn't be surprising if he could actually work out exactly what was really happening under Shinji's shikai illusion. Second, there is a possibility that he could just put himself under an opposite illusion with Kyoka Suigetsu. Third, to be able to fuse with Hougyoku you need to have at least 10 times more spiritual energy than a regular captain class shinigami, and if you have way more reiatsu than your opponent then you can just shrug off their attacks like its nothing, even if these attacks have bullshit effects like Soi Fons 2 hit kill, or Barragans time aura thingy. So yeah, at least 3 probable reasons why Shinji would've most likely failed.
If used correctly, It is overpowered. Imagine if you are alone and facing a group of enemies, you'll just wait until they are done killing each other. It is useless in most scenarios like the TYBW arc, you can't use it while allies are all around.
I love his Bankai, and it's one of the scarriest ones to me alongside Shuhei's. The guy could conquer the world with his Bankai easily, because no army that goes against him could attack him. Napoleon and Hitler would feel ashamed of themselves next to him. XD

As a person who likes to be solo I think this be a great ability when you fight 1v 3 or more. So shikai for group fight and bankai in solo fights. It's a win win situation

Honestly when you think about it, it's a pretty darn good Bankai. If he's faced with 2 or more enemies, he'll force them to kill each other with no effort to himself. He can theoretically kill an infinite number of enemies with it. Afterwards, he can 1v1 the remaining survivor, where he can simply revert back to shikai and duel them.
If he has allies, they can run out of range, then come back to kill the 1 enemy left.
There's no remaining survivors cause they Suicide After killing the Second to the last surv

While the gen2 headcaptain's deal with games/plays, Shinji's theme is inversion.
Shikai is a precison tool that needs prowess to use but can be effective in various situations, bankai is a very situational high-risk/high-reward overclocked total realityF#CK.
This is one of the best assassination bankais in the entire series. Could enter any area with a large amount of enemies, pop bankia, stand there make sure they all die, then dip.
I love that all of these bankai are finally getting revealed. Now I need to know what ukitake’s bankai was and I’ll be satisfied

I have mixed feelings about this anticipated bankai, I think it’s pretty genius if you see it as I do, making everyone to kill each other is a very op ability... for a villain, i was kinda expecting that from aizens bankai cause I felt it was kinda fitting but for shinji this is more situational and probably just a one hit wonder, but still I think it’s pretty dope, I want to see how Klab is going to create this bankai for the game in the CFYOW round something soon
Oh God, I hope they don't take the bankai literally and give him confuse 😓. It would be the only status ailment in the game that fits the concept of 'enemies killing each other' but in the game it ain't that great considering that confused enemies have less predictable direction to their attacks and you're still at risk of being hit... Unless 🤔🤔🤔 they could give him a barrier

aizen bankai also needs restriction for a needed reason as to why he never used it,
for example removing the effects of his shikai once he activates bankai would be a great reason for someone like aizen to have never used it against anyone.

This Bankai is basically for infiltrating an enemies location or camp and having them kill eachother. In that sense, it is one of the most powerful Bankai.
Shinji’s bankai is really strong. Using this bankai, he can deal with any entire of enemy. The only downside is that he is not near anyone, but just because of such limitation doesn’t mean it’s weak.
During the Quincy arc, Shinji’s bankai would be terribly effective at dealing with the invasion. Not only would the activation of his bankai counter the potential of his bankai being stolen, he can deal with large army of strong Quincy.

I think it's a good bankai for Shinji. Remember, the soul society wasn't as chaotic as it is now. So back then, Shinji could've been sent on missions by himself against hollow outbreaks and whatnot. He's essentially a one man anti-army.
This makes sense as he did not use it in the Azien fight .His is not the only bankai that effects friend and foe making it situration .Yet it can be very useful it you are fighting a group of powerful enemies .

Imagine him being a villain; you prepare for attack then everybody kills each other. Then you plan to fight him 1v1; he uses his shikai. Maybe he is not supposed to be good character.

Aizen has complete control over all senses. It's perfect hypnosis. This is basically just an uncontrollable version of that, and is alot less versatile....
There was a reason Aizen told Shinji his power is child's play. If you think about it Aizen can mimic Shinji shikai power by altering the placement of opponents and attacks. Aizen just uses his shikai simply because that is enough to get the job done.

Not only that but fusing with his sword has altered kyoka suigetsu a bit. For one it can create illusions of bankais that Aizen never saw but Juha did...meaning the ability now seems to take things from the opponent mind to help it be even more believing.
True but remember there's a sense of Duality between Aizen and Shinji. Aizen is Hypnosis and Shinji is Illusion. Both have powerful Zanpakuto powers based off these two concepts thats effectivity and purpose are different amd complimentary to their personalitites and possibly each other if they had worked together for a little while longer. I like that they're both different and the same in a way.

So basically shinji bankai makes it that you have to reestablish who is you ally and who is your enemy in a fight and since you dont have time to do that in the middle of battle your first instinct would be to slash everything in sight. Pretty neat ability but yeah I understand why he did not use when he fought with allies it would be more effective when he fights alone and greatly outnumbered.
I think that this fits Shinji perfectly. He is someone who cuts himself off from everyone else, because he can’t trust them. He makes so that he is forever alone, and if anyone gets close to him he could kill them.
P.S.- thanks for all of these uploads. I loved Bleach, but after the Quincy war it kind of fell off the map for me. You and your channel brought that love back.

Shinji's Bankai is basically a one man army type of deal. Shinji has to be the first one to go to battle or be the very first line of defense against a group of enemies to make his bankai useful. But his status as a captain will always have his subordinates around him so not the ideal scenario. I really like his banka despite its limitations, it remind us that bankais are more varied than a simple transformation or final attack like we usually see. However i am interested to find out how wide is the range of his bankai.

I've read somewhere, that Kubo Tite said that he was planning confront Shinji's bankai with The Miracle. If that's true, it must have been something different originally, cause Sakashima would be useless in that situation (Gerard was solo and there was Hirako's allies).

Shikai and bankai influences the opponent's perception. Shikai is more personal one on one or small groups. Bankai is more for crowd control.
It could probably be used well with a lieutenant who's familiar with it. If its Shinji and his lieutenant, Shinji could use bankai and the enemy would think the lieutenant is his ally, whereas the lieutenant would know that the one he now sees as his ally is really his enemy.

Shinji bankai is strong, very strong, but so very situational. Like he has to either fight few enemies, or the entire army and be alone. Like I don't even think if a time when could've used his bankai. It's like u eat super good food, but only can eat it alone so that others wouldn't eat it.
Final thoughs: it's rly strong, but very very situational.
Depends if he can expand the immunity area. If he could then on all you would have to do is get his allies to gather on that location which would look less conspicuous then telling people to move out of a specified area

Well, since we're speculating about it; there's really no telling what the Kura-town battle would end like because it's possible that bankai would've revealed Aizen, since it causes the actual people to fight each other; in a sense it may have made him visible to others so he can be fought by them, otherwise invisible characters would be immune to it, making it rather lame.. in a sense perhaps it would reset the battle field..
Although Aizen basic stats are OP, he can't kill all those captains with their kidos and full strengths with even Yamamoto there, if he's revealed to them. In one translation I watched, he stated after unleashing wonderweiss, that Yamamoto using his full strength could defeat him.. it seems there were boundaries to his abilities and how shinji's bankai would affect them, is unknown.
But then perhaps also his own bankai would more than even the score.
So it's a great AoE spell but the downside is it also has Friendly Fire turned on . Imo it's a twisted bankai
Huh. His bankai is surprisingly simple, compared to the rumors. I wouldn't say his Shikai is stronger than his Bankai, though. Just a lot more situational. If he revealed his Shikai on anyone other than Aizen, I think Shinji would completely stomp them. He could've also solo'd Gin, Tousen, and all of Espada in the right circumstances with his Bankai.
Also, let's stop comparing Aizen with Shinji (or with anyone else, really). They're completely worlds apart, in terms of power. Not only does Kyoka Suigetsu control the 5 senses, its power "transcends" time, as evident when even he hax'd Juha.

Bankai: Opposite Day
Episode 60, Isane claims that Aizen's zanpakuto is supposed to use mist to confuse enemies into attacking each other. Despite what Shinji said about Aizen not knowing about his zanpakuto in their fight, I'm starting to think Aizen-sama figured this out somehow and based the lie off of Shinji's Bankai.

yeah if I remember correctly he even admitted that his Shikai its better for fighting strong opponents.
He is cool in design and people like his personality but look at his history. Aizen tricked him like a major fool in turn back the pendulum. Aizen said his shikai power is child's play and made quick work of him in their fight.
Then we have the quincy Bambietta who not even being that smart immediately realizes his shikai is not a threat if you use an omnidirectional attack and one shots him. After that he did nothing throughout the war. He is pretty lame honestly and that is actually by his showings.
Cylus O'Brady Agreed. His design and his chill personality are what makes him kinda cool, but my god, for the Vizard leader, and presumably, one of the stronger members, if not the strongest due to his leadership, dude has terrible showings. His only good showing was vs a Half dead Grimmjow with one arm. Thats like an adult man fighting a wounded dying puppy at that point. One shot by Bambi, trolled by Aizen, bodied by Gerard. He was introduced as a mysterious former captain who was supposed to be quite powerful, and ended up having worse showings than Izuru.
His Bankai is a true bankai if you remember in the beginning of the series bankai was supposed to be a shinigami’s last resort . We’ve just been spoiled by weake captains who immediately use bankai

Shinji is the ultimate gank buster, just activate his bankai and he'll get his enemies to kill each other and even if they're aware of his bankais effects he could just deactivate it and reactivate it in order to confuse them

I'm fighting Aizen, he's my enemy. I use Bankai, he becomes my friend. I say, "Hey friend, come here I'ma teleport us to coffee shop for fun and relaxation". Your "friend" comes up to you, and you waste him with your sword or kido.
Note: it wouldn’t be any good if it was only one on one because what will the Bankai do to your opponent if there is no one else around. This Bankai could be beneficial if it was you against a whole army without your allies in range.
If bleach has a hack and slash kinda game, this Bankai would work greatly for fodder enemy crowd control lol

Problem with this Bankai is even if let's say he walked into the Sternritter base and activates it, he cannot get them to completely kill each other. The hollows completely killed each other because they are practically the same power level. If used on Sternritters, their power level is not the same, so in the end one person would survive, either being Gerard, Lille, Pernida, Haschwalt or Gremmy. And they can take care of Shinji afterwards.
No after that they suicide it is stated in the novel thats how is bankai works and even then shikai plus hollow mask wich is poisonous to quincies would do it e only lost because he wasn t expecting the attack

From the fillers...a bit but Koga's Murmasa allowed him to actually summon zanpakto spirits and hypnotize them to his cause. Way stronger than Shinji's bankai power. I do recall he made allies fight each other through manipulation of their swords but they hadn't truly turn against each other.
