Fantastic... This video has inspired me to repair my old Sperber mill and put it back into service. It's a fantastic machine that has been in storage for too long.

Elm is interesting because most Elm trees died in the 1970's due to the epidemic of Dutch Elm Disease spread by a beetle. But maybe it didn't reach the country where this is filmed I do know that around here in Kent, England there are still dead Elm trees showing the marks the beetle makes, but the trees are still standing. It's taken over 50 years for them to decay away. So getting relatively new Elm wood is a very big deal.

When you swapped out the blue Holzfforma saw was it because the wood was really hard and the Stihl revs higher and can cut it more easily?
