OMG, you just saved me countless hours and tons of $! I have been dealing with this issue on and off all summer and was just about ready to take my 997 to the dealer to figure it out. You the MAN!
You are my hero! I've spent nearly $1000 at my JD dealer (replacing seat switch, Parking brake switch, ignition etc.). I checked the time delay module like your video showed.... and I was back up and mowing in minutes! I plan to replace the module, but the plug on the module is different than what my mower has (square 2x2 instead of a "flat" like yours). I truly appreciate you sharing your experience!
Same issue with my z445, thanks for the video
Dude the old 2006 997 is rolling again. Thanks to your video. I'm subscribed keep up the good work.
Im stuck in the field, what two wires, thanks for this video
I tried pulling out my existing 3 fuses underneath the seat and pushing the same ones right back into place and that took care of it on several different occasions, but now it's not working, so I'm on to try these other options. My John Deere is old as the hills.
I have a 717 A with the same problem thank you for the tips .
Thank you got a 653 with same issue will check on it. ✌️
How can I contact you about getting copy of the manual. I am having same problem. Friend bypassed the seat safety switch and still having problems. I know I need to test for brake switch and the other issue you mentioned, but I need instructions.
It’s the hydraulic temp sensor which is located (hidden below the right hand control panel) that needs to be replaced.
But what if your mower cuts off whether you release the parking brake, engage the PTO switch, OR just move the steering handles in?
My cuts off if I do any of those things.
Thanks for any answers
@@borg386 are you doing them in the correct order? You release parking brake first then steering handles then you can engage pto. If you are then I would start with your parking brake switch.
@@TravisandMaverickTV yes! It actually turned out to be a faulty parking brake switch.
Thanks for sharing your video.
Do you still have the service manual
Which wire do you jump.or what color
Just buy a relay checker and sale a ton of time 😊😊😊
First thing you need to do is move the camera closer to you and speak up 😢
Can’t enjoy not hearing or seeing
