I love all your videos but tge curriculum one are so helpful to me choosing for my family i want as much faith based as possible and my kids have loved all the suggestions ive gotten of here so far 😁
I am loving making my way through your videos! All your information is so helpful. I was wondering if you’ve done or if you can do a post on how you record keep? If you have a system you use to keep track of your kids academic accomplishments and grades, so that when they do reach college age they have credible information to present? I am super new to this so bare with me while I scratch the surface and possibly ask questions on many of your videos 😉
I hate that your family doesn’t like to admit that this world may not be just 6,000 years old . This world is 100,00’s of years old. And we need to learn from that.
Yes, my favorite vlogs are the homeschooling ones. I’m a second generation homeschooling mom and I have 8 kids and have been homeschooling 18 years now!
Thank you for the reviews. It’s so helpful to those of us with homeschooled kids. I personally love the fact that you have kids my kids ages and slightly older so I can learn from you and avoid common mistakes that many moms seem to make. I know you make our homeschool journey an easier one. Thanks, Ashlee!
We used beautiful feet for the first time this year for my 3rd grader, while I love the books so much so far it’s a lot of read alouds. After teaching through LA, Math and doing our reading for LA I would be losing my voice trying to ready through the BF chapter books. I guess you get tougher as you go as a homeschool mom. lol 🙈😑
As always, you're such a class act. I so appreciate that you never "put down" other curriculums even if they didn't quite work out. Love your honesty! Thanks for the video :)
Out of all the homeschool mom channels, I relate to you the most. I trust your advice and am trying out a few things you do such as night zookeeper🌙, the good and the beautiful language arts 🎨 and the little hearts science, and not consumed bible studies sound amazing. For history, we do sonlight and we love it! I am getting geared up for next year schooling my 4 year old, 3rd, 6th and 7th grade kiddos!
I love your homeschool updates!! You always provide great insight to your thoughts process and provide new ideas that I tuck into my "tool box" (as I call it) for if/when I need it. Thank you! Have a wonderful day and God bless. ❤️ -Katie
I love hearing your homeschool curriculum videos! They’re my favorite videos you do. 😂 I really enjoy listening to what you use for your older kiddos as I am right behind you with my own kids. We have done all four years of TGTB history and this year are switching to Notgrass, so I’m glad to hear your review of this. Thanks for sharing!
New to your channel. Thank you for you honest, concise review!i appreciate your insight on the Worldy Wise curriculum as they go into higher levels. I also really appreciate the content on the middle-high school age range 💕
YES! Please continue with the curriculum review videos! They're so helpful to me, who just finished my first year homeschooling, but still need a little help on things. I appreciate you so much for doing these videos ❤
Love your channel. Love the homeschool content. On a budget, but I treat myself every year to two months of your paid subscription and can't recommend it highly enough! The value of what you do there is amazing!
Good to know about Wordly Wise. I bought the elementary levels long ago when I watched one of your curriculum videos. I won‘t buy the higher levels now.
I am NOT a math brained student. I often do just the lecture one day and then do the practice set the next. The lectures are supposed to be 15-20 minutes however in Algebra 1 (at least so far, I'm on lesson 23) they are often more like 30 minutes+ which makes doing a lesson of math take super long.
My daughter was in 10th grade this year and struggles with math. I let her go at her pace- while keeping her consistent. She really likes Shormann. She took 2 years to compete the Alg 1 which includes half credit geometry. I definitely recommend for kids that aren’t strong in math
Hi there! New to your videos and to homeschooling. My children are much younger than yours (8, 4, and 1), but I am really enjoying your curriculum reviews and advice. I’m curious to know what your opinion is, if you have one, about Saxon Math.
Any recommendations for a history course that can be used family style with elementary and middle school ages? I’ve been looking at notgrass and generations but can’t decide.
Don't stop the curriculum vids. I found Shormann because of one you did a couple years ago and we started it this year. I like to know what people use for high school and you are a great source. Thank you!
These are my FAVORITE videos that you do! Thank you so very much for sharing your experiences, thoughts and prospective. I value it and appreciate your honesty as always ❤️
Can you list the specific not consumed studies you used? We just started peacemaker. The plan during the school year is to do Bible memorization from NC with 5th and 1st graders.
I ordered myself the parent guides for all 9 of the Not Consumed studies we bought this year 😅 and they were not what I expected. They are not parent guide through the study your children are doing, like they don’t break down the days lesson, add discussion questions, etc…. They are actually the same study for the parent. Much like from the junior to teen studies they are similar but with slightly different wording etc that’s how the parent one is. I found myself not even using it during our first study because it wasn’t something we were doing together, it was just my own Bible study. It made more sense for me to look at his study and walkthrough it with him. I hope that makes sense. I LOVE the company and their product, but the name “parent guide” is a little misleading, it should just be labeled as the parent study. I also do not think they are useless necessarily, a parent could definitely order them to be learning about the same things as their children alongside them, but I am always doing my own studying on the side and just didn’t them personally. Just thought I would give you a heads up if you were planning on buying parent guides for the upcoming school year!
Thank you for this, definitely keep sharing your opinions on curriculum. My son just turned 4 and we have been using The Good and The Beautiful. I was considering a Not Consumed Bible study for him, after watching this I think we are going to go for it!
Yes to homeschool content. My kids have been remote schooling for 4 years but this last year was our first year out of the school system We have 3 weeks left and it has been ahhhhmazing. I so so appreciate all the advice , reviews and wisdom from a homeschool vet! Thank you for all your awesome videos. I too was a trainer so I also really relate to that. I have 4 kiddos, I am a Christian and a wife and a sourdough starter mama as well. Lol. I relate to your content so much. Thanks again❤
We have always loved the good and the beautiful language arts. This year my daughter did level 7 and it just fell flat which was not at all what I was expecting. She's going to skip the book studies and go straight to hs1 I'm hoping it revives itself for her this year.
Hey Ashlee great video, as always. I recently tried BFB this year as well and was sadly disappointed. But I am wondering where you have older children taking more online classes, what do you prefer for your high schoolers to have an iPad, laptop or desktop? We are looking into needing to get another device soon so where you have already traveled that road I would love your input. Maybe it’s too long to comment back so feel free to make a video maybe more people could benefit from that as well. 🤔🤷🏼♀️
BJU is awesome! I can't wait until my kids are old enough for the older sciences & math if needed, we used their preschool class online when we were trying to figure out what we wanted to use for homeschool a long time ago, but decided for us it was too much on the computer for her for preschool. But it was awesome! Love hearing about their Biology! We love TGTB
Your curriculum reviews are my favourite. As someone who has kids a few years behind yours, I really find your reviews helpful in knowing what to pick next! I don’t know why we haven’t tried the world watch news yet! Trying this tomorrow 😊
I do appreciate that in about 20 min you hit like 15 items and gave concise simple review. I want to hear diff people’s opinions but when it’s a 30 min video on just 1-2 items???… I just can’t lol
Thanks for sharing! You mentioned Journables but I don't see the link. Do you have one for those? Also, which textbook did you use for the dinosaurs course? Thanks!
Loved your feedback on Notgrass! We are doing it this year for the first time! I'm excited to see how it goes with our family. Did you use it as a family subject? I'm going to try that and add other book reads for my older kids....but open to other ideas. I have an 8th grader, 7th grader & twin 5th graders. Did you read the suggested literature?
You are a blessing! Ty for sharing. Already got our Notgrass in for our high schooler. We are doing Meteorology from campfire as an elective with online weather classes. Already printed Level 4 TGTB LA. Excited for the new school year and I hope y’all have a wonderful summer!
Luv your videos ! I feel like we would be besties in real life ! I was going to wait and have the homeschool charter pay for night zoo keeper but I really want to get my kiddo on it now during summer. She is going to 6th grade and behind in reading/writing and this will be our 2nd yr homeschooling and most of this year was just going back to basics for her and I think that program might just be something she likes. Thank you so much keep them coming ❤😊
I appreciate your making end of year reviews. I too don’t like to change curriculum if I can at all help it. This upcoming year we are changing our math course for my oldest. Reviews and other research helped to aid my decisions. Thanks again!

We’re excited to use Notgrass this year for elementary and middle. It looks amazing! For the maturation unit did you teach it your two youngest ones separately or together and just pick certain topics to do solo?
@@GraceandGrit that’s helpful thank you!! ♥️ I was noticing the same with Wordly Wise in a few of the stories…that’s helpful to know it gets worse in the upper levels! 😩
Love your reviews. Always helps me in the next year. Headed into 9th grade this year. Your apologetics that you did, how are you giving it credits? Are you doing a full credit for a book finished in a year or a half credit since it’s two books? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks so much.
Can I ask how you feel about a child’s history of the world as a spine history book? We didn’t use a spine this year and might not next year but I’m researching some options.
Beautiful Feet's Early American History for K-3 has the same problem. I had to buy TruthQuest guides to help fill in major holes and get alternative book suggestions and perspectives. I will get Not Grass for World History next time.
I absolutely LOVE watching your homeschool curriculum videos. Your opinions carry weight, and I have a rising 9th, 3rd, 1st, and preschooler this year, and I just finished picking curriculum. I actually looked at the Masterbooks Constitution one & decided against it for my 9th grader, and I found the idea of Beautiful Feet perfect, but it was also a miss for us this year. We're using Notgrass this year instead 😂. Anyways, please do continue to make curriculum videos!
For BJU Physical Science, did you buy or use the lab kit? If so, did you feel it was worth the cost? We will be doing physical science this year and I’m on the fence about the kit.
Is Shormann math is it all online? We are trying T.T for the first time for my middle child, coming from Saxon where he did from 54-87. Now T.T, using their pre-algebra. I don’t like it. But we would like to keep with an online math program?
This video makes me want to pull out all our curriculum ~ but we just started summer break so I shouldn’t 😂🤣 hahahahaha Love your videos and your advice! Have you used Abeka videos? We are using some of their single subjects (have for 6 years) and I sometimes wonder how they compare to BJU… we like Abeka for the most part and don’t want to try BJU only to go back.. idk!
