That zombie grab animation is really rare, happen to me a few times. Now, about how to do it intentionally, I have no clue. My guess is that it happens when you are at a specific distance from a zombie lunge trigger, and by running away right at the start of the animation, you are not grabbed by also escapes by the skin of your teeth. If you don't move fast enough, the zombie throw itself with you on the ground and damages you. Another tip: only put a capacity upgrade on your weapon when it's empty, otherwise you will be losing the remaining ammo on the gun. Addendum: in RE2 Remake, this rule does not apply, since the capacity upgrades does not give u a full magazine whatsoever.
Can that grab animation happen in RE2 Remake also? I feel like I've been able to pull that off before with Leon or Claire. Thank you so much for the tip with the capacity upgrades, like you said, since it doesn't give you free ammo in RE2Remake I never even checked if it would do that for RE3Make. That is an awesome tip!

In most RE games the gun magazine is refilled when you does the upgrade, but in RE2 Remake, you get half bullets with it, on RE4 Remake, an capacity upgrade selled by the merchant does not refill the gun at all, (unlike the original game). I think RE0 is that cruel as well lol. U can only know for sure by testing really :v
