I just had a big fight with my toxic mother yesterday, I was bawling my eyes out, and she just said “ yeah , you won’t be fcking able to see tomorrow”. She also said that she wishes that she had never given birth to me and her life would be so much better without me. The problem is that I don’t have anyone else… I don’t have friends,siblings, my father decided to leave few weeks ago. But it’s fine , I wouldn’t change my life anyways. I forgive (for my mental health) but I won’t forget nor love her the same. This song right there , is maybe the story of my life.

@Thomas Andrews you have to realize that she is still in college and focusing on finishing that right now. When she is able to finish school and release a full project like an album, she will be more recognized and famous for her talent. She has almost 2 million followers and she has only released singles. Getting 100 million streams off only singles is a really big feat. All the artists who are more popular got there after releasing an album and going on tour. Billie Eilish was known before her debut album but she wasn’t a mainstream artist and as big as she is now. She had a few million followers on Instagram before she released the album and now she has over 60 million and almost 30 million UA-cam subscribers. Also, before she released the album she also released an ep and she still wasn’t that well known. When she releases a full project, the fame will come! She’s only 20.

I'm so blown away. This is the first I've ever seen of her, but this woman is an absolute vocal legend. The uniqueness of her tone, her velvety low range, her clean and powerful belts, her delicate head voice, her vibrato, her emotional expressiveness. She's an absolute beast, a master of her instrument. Faouzia probably has more talent in her pinky than most of us have in our entire bodies. I can't BELIEVE I've never heard her music before. Also, the song itself is stunning and the lyrics are so moving. Incredible.

@@libertass Beyonce is a vocal god though, you don't have to be a fan to admit that. she's been approved & praised by multiple vocal coaches and she's actually put in the work to get where she is. I cant speak for the other singers cuz idk much about them
@@tink6225 all of those ladies are talented and can sing extremely well, the only thing I said is that in my opinion, faouzia's level when it comes to voice control (transitions, agility), is higher. That doesn't mean she is necessarily a better singer overall, that's subjective. Faouzia is also much younger than the other ladies. Beyonce has lowered the tones and belts in recent years to preserve her voice. We all know she can still do them if she wants, my comment did not intend to belittle Beyonce.

Auto-tune is a choice by the producer on behalf of the record label, it has no bearing on the talent of the singer in Pop Music. It is used to ensure perfect pitch on the recording and is used most of the time. You don't realise because it only gets noticed if the singer is off-key or it is used to extremes.
Most of these "over-edited, autotuned singers" can sing perfectly well without it, uinless it is used because they are doing a lot of other things during a performance which maybe throws their pitch off a bit i.e. dancing/swinging about on wires in the air etc.
There are poor singers out there in Pop but not as many as you probably imagine.

The song is so good, and the lyrics are so emotional and tell a story. I relate to this song so much especially the lyrics “generosity’s my enemy so I’m broke and your heart’s rich because of me”. I resonated with that line so much because I can relate to her pain of giving all of herself to someone and never getting anything back and yet still giving everything she has despite her knowing that she won’t get anything in return. Also the line “gave away my trust for pennies”, saying that she is too trusting and how she puts her faith and trust in someone who doesn’t deserve it. And this line hit me the hardest “I said don’t you worry, didn’t think that I’d be, broken down and crying, ‘help me’” basically saying that she allows herself to get hurt over and over again because she easily trusts others and that every time she hopes that they will come through for her or support her the same way she has been to them. Also the emotion she puts behind the lyrics make it even more impactful.
